If Garon is still sore, we know LaBarbera is going to get the start, but rather than fly Hauser out from the East Coast, will the Kings summon Munce from Bakersfield? He's been playing awfully well there, and if something were to happen to LaBarbera, I can't imagine Munce could do much worse than the relief effort we saw from da Brick in Buffalo. (Nothing against Hauser, but why have a guy fly 3000 miles when you can stick Muncey on a bus for an hour and a half )

Interesting thought, but I can't imagine we wouldn't recall Hauser and send Munce to Manchester. You can't judge Hauser based on that one game, where the whole team stunk.

It's really not all about basing a decision on Hauser's play, it's merely about logistics. If the Kings need a guy to sit on the bench to give Garon an extra 48 hours rest, the solution is up the 5. They talked about it before, and actually, one of the reasons they worked this deal with Bakersfield was for emergencies like this. Hey, for all we know Garon will wake up today and be fine, but having Munce so close seems like a far more economical answer than having a guy fly across the country for 60 minutes of inactivity.

P.S. Munce would stay in Bakersfield, and it would be Fukufuji going from Reading to Manchester to back up Brust. Again, far more economical, and also keeps the pecking order in place.

The Monarchs fly out of Manchester tomorrow for a mid-west weekend road trip. First stop, Ohama Nebraska. Hauser's going to be half way to L.A. tomorrow as it is. Having said that, bring on Munce...
