Kovalev : War against french media

Kovy just said on RDS that he was misquoted (on Julien comments) by the french media that not always understand what he's trying to say.

Not sure that Kovy still want to stay in Montreal

Why are you trying to find problems when there aren't any to start with? There is nothing you can say that can back up your wild assumptions . Even the Title of your thread is misleading. Dude sometimes you need to take what people say at face value. Maybe he was misquoated.

I think you are over reacting, missinterpreting or trying to create something that isn't there.

I would close this thread.

Is Begin a journalist? That has nothing to do with it.
Kovy quote was repeated many times and each time the media twisted his words more and more so that by the time they told Dandeneault it was something like : «the D man were running around like a chicken without a head because of Julien.»

It is obvious the french media has an agenda against Kovalev/Koivu/Markov or anyone with caracther that is european.
And they continue to praise Dagenais in the AHL and Theo when he is stinking it up.

The english media does the exact opposite and bash Brisebois or Ribs till they're booed.

I would hope people on this board would have more intelligence than any of those journalists.
They use controversy and the french /english rivalry to sell newspapers and make money. What's your excuse?

I rarely say this and I am a big defender of free speach....

.... but this thread deserves to be closed. It violates several HF Boards rules I'm sure.

I didn't want to bring this up but...Kovalev hunts baby seals.

The guy clearly needs to be traded.

******
Basically the overwhelming majority of Montreal journalists who cover hockey are a joke. The French and the English; both are just biased, ignorant and it's hard to see why they still have their jobs. Sure there are some really good ones, but for the most part the media in Montreal is unprofessional and annoying. (imo of course)
