"MSG, continuing its trend as an industry leader in technology"

Screw MSG. They suck *** since the Dolans and Cabelvision won't allow MSG HD to go on Direct TV.

I agree. has there been ANY talk about them adding this to Directv? I dont see why they wouldnt. MSG is available. Why cant they just add the HD too?

Haven't you seen any of the Cablevision spam on TV? It's one of the centerpieces in their "Only available on IO" campaign. If DirecTV ever get's MSG HD, it won't be for a long, long time.

This is great news if Cablevision lets all providers show it. Comcast has been showing some of the Rangers home games in HD lately. I don't think Cablevision will ever give this to the dish providers as they are direct competitors with them while other Cable providers are not since the cable industry is a total monopoly.

Cable sucks anyway. Cablevision should just go dish and become Dishvision. Or Satelitevision.

bout freaking time. as i was saying in the thread against the wings, I found NBC's HD quality much worse than the usual MSGHD picture I was used to. It was annoying when you would watch a bunch of games in HD at home, and then suddenly your back on the road with crappy 480i feed from the road which is always bad quality from MSG, and those ugly blue bars msg uses.

The WORST HD is the crap Fox puts out. My father is News Corp's insurance broker and he knows alllll about how they aren't fans of HD and don't do "true" HD on any of their broadcasts. It's a shame, since their football HD really sucks and is constantly dropping frames.

I noticed that too. The NBC HD feed was weak. The cable HD is so good that I find myself watching the Icelanders and Devil home games almost as much as the Rangers.

AWESOME NEWS! let's hope they increase the number for next year. i dread watching the road games on the SD feed...i don't know what they do to it to make it look so bad. HD on 112" makes it hard to watch anything else.

It's a shame...

Time Warner's HD lineup sucks and doesn't include the Rangers (at the moment, I do not blame the Dolans).

Are you talking about Time Warner here in the city? If so, Rangers and Knicks home games are on free of charge in HD on channel 712.

Let me take you all back to a time when I watched channel 9, a Saturday night game, usually from Montreal or Toronto. The voice was Jim Gordon along with Chadwick/Esposito, the picture was grainy, the sound was worse than radio and my TV was a 17 inch American clunker that weighed more than Joe Murphy's wet skates.

Unfortunately they haven't shown either of the last 2 Rangers road games (including tonight) in HD though. I guess I'm stuck watching the SD feed once again. At least tomorrow I'll get the Rangers/Devils in HD.
