OT: We should all play hockey together!!!

Guys, Aymand's thread gave me an idea...

In the summer/spring when theres like no snow and stuff, we should all meet up, and make 2 teams and play some good ol fashioned hawkey!!!!!

I think this would be an amazing experience! We could even like keep stat sheets, and post them here and stuff, whatever theres so many possibilities!

What do you guys think???

Who would be up for doing something like this?

I'd be down, but only if we're allowed to suck.

Hehe yeah dude.

It will be just like the NHL, we will have some Jagr's, Kovalev's and we will also have some Dagenais's, Worrell's..

I'm in! I can't skate yet, but beside that I don't see a problem. After all Oliwa can't skate too. You'll have your "Polish Hammer" on a team

LOL Awesome! so 4 guys (hopefully) so far!

Um.. I'm not sure if we'll use roller-blades or not... probably not, we could have a vote I guess. I imagine most guys will just want to play on foot anyway so thats no problem.

I'm pretty new around here, but I would be up for it, definately.

Altho I only know Ice skating, I guess it can't be that much different/hard to learn in a couple weeks.

Can we just enter our stats in NHL 2006 or whatever and simulate it instead?

(Put me in the database as the floaty Dagenais type RW, only softer, and without the shot).

I'll play but I don't want to embarass you folks with my superior Puck poise and deking abilities. And I'd love it if people brought their rollerblades.

Well shes not technically a eye doctor just yet, as she still has 4 years of optometry schooling left, but she does come from a waelthy family.

But i could care less about that personally. Although, having money is allways nice.

Sounds cool.

But who's seriously up for rollerhockey? I say we make another game of rollerhockey as well. How many guys would be interested? also, I'm looking for a rollerhockey league over the spring, and if not, then I'd like to organize one. Anyone interested?

I'm definitely in.

I've always thought of myself (unfortunately) as a Pierre Dagenais. I have a wicked shot, but I'm slow, soft and have trouble turning right on my skates.

Alright well, i'm up for either on foot, or roller-blades but not on ICE. It's too much of a hassle.

So I guess we'll have a vote for who wants to play with roller-blades and who wants to play on foot. And we can't have some guys on roller-blades and some guys on foot, thats crappy trust me.

Scouting report on self :

5"7 , 156 pounds of pure muscle. Rw or D

Strong lower body, speedy, terrible slapshot, above average wrist shot, great snapper . Playmaking winger with good vision. Skating could use some refining [major understatement].
Not easy to knock off the puck for a small dude and excells at the defensive side of the game.

As a Defencemen, comparable to francis bouillon , i even look like him. Not as physical but I can pokecheck with the best of them. And did I mention everything I said above should be taken with a grain of salt?

I play ballhockey at college and skate outside everyday (when there is good ice to begin with, stupid freezing rain)

Nice man, good idea.. lol

My scouting report:

Born 10/07/87

5ft10, 150lbs.

Speedy, flashy(hehe afterall i AM russian =p), good stickhandling, good on breakaways, highly creative and a risk-taker, good passing ability. However I also take pride in being very strong defensively, a 2-way player.

My wrist shot is good, slap shot is good.. I like to shoot like joe sakic, always a deke before releasing. I can play LW, C or RW, I could even play on D but I feel I would be wasted there. My natural position is RW though. I think the best thing about my game is that i'm always confident and have a strong desire to win, I _HATE_ losing. I play for my team, not for myself, and I also consider myself to be somewhat of a leader.

EDIT: There is one big flaw IMO, that I haven't rollerbladed in like 3 years. That would affect me somewhat I imagine, although after a few mins of skating I think I should be OK. lol
