Lehkonen is a typical Finn. Well coached, well developed. He is responsible defensively. If he stays healthy he will have a very productive season.

The Habs website has him at 6.0/174 . When he's standing next to Plekanec they seem pretty even so 5.11-ish would be my guess. Whatever it is, he's not huge but he's not tiny either. I don't see size as an issue with Lehkonen.

Any number in the 60s is better than a number in the 40s or 50s IMO.

Not a call out, just curious about your reasoning.

don't mind 62 at all. It's a unique number. I like high numbers for whatever reason anyways.

So nice to see him get his shot going. Really impressed with him so far.

I'd be happy if he can manage to avoid the bench and put up 30ish points.

I like unique numbers as well, plus 46 is still tied to Andrei Kostitsyn in my mind..

He leaves #46 free in case AK comes back

#62 seems odd but who cares...

+1
Also...I'm hoping Lehks will use his super shot in playoffs (unlike Playoff Tin Man Pacioretty). We need more playoff snipers (a la playoff-Cammalleri)...hoping Lehks can deliver when it really counts (playoffs). Of course...he's new so I'd give him at least 2-3 playoff seasons before making up my mind on him (playoff player...or not).

If Therrien gives Lehks as many chances as he gives Desharnais...Lehks could end up having a 50pt season (if Therrien plays him in top 6 or at worst top 9). But, I will lower my expectations due to Therrien (still can't believe he's coaching in the NHL...makes me dislike the Habs a bit).

Excited about Lehks.

Exactly what I'm thinking...46 still reminds me of A.Kosts and I wasn't a huge fan of his high enough salary but low/semi-bust productions (expectations were too high, I guess...or maybe I despised A.Kosts 'cause I really wanted our Habs to select Zach Parise and not A.Kosts).

44 still reminds me of Souray and Richer!!
32 will always belong to one of the best CLUTCH playoff forwards ...Claude Lemieux.

62 is unique...I like that. Close to 63 (Ribeiro), but 62 will not remind me of Ribeiro!! Here's to hoping Lehkonen will produce for our Habs... ESPECIALLY in playoffs, 'cause we don't have enough playoff producers.

I trust our bottom 6 (Shaw, Mitchell, Carr, Mccarron?, Hudon?) vs Desharnais, Pacioretty...for playoffs. (And, yes Shaw can be in the top 6, but he's also VERY solid for our 3rd line...he can captain that line...while Mitchell can captain the 4th line, etc, etc).

Also excited about his guy. I think he falls into a rare category of gifted offensive players who Therrien will like. He plays a responsible game, is gritty and tenacious, and has all the tools to produce well for a middle 6 winger. Hoping for a Carl Hagelin-like contribution.

Good compliment for Plekanec.

All coaches will like him as he plays the game the way you want them to. My only concern is his lack of strength and mass, how it impacts him over a full season. But the skill is there for sure as is the effort and all round game.

He wears it because his father was born in 1962 and his father likes the #62.

The guy never played a 82 games schedule (+ very long trips) on a smaller sized ice... I dunno how long he's gonna last on that second line, playing 16-17 minutes a game.

He played 65 games total last year and was still very good at the end of it. Wont be a problem in the regular season. Could be a problem in playoffs.
