Ya, its great to have skilled players like Sundin, Mogilny, Noaln, Roberts, Nieuwendyk and Antropov making up your two PP units, but when those two untils don't produce, largely because no one is in front of the net you have to shake things up. Perrott wil stand in front of the net, make defensemen move him (which isn't easy). I would bet if someone was there on Kaberles shot Snow wouldn't have made that save. I think a PP unit of Jackman, Kaberle, Sundin, Mogilny and Perrott could work out well for them. Kaberle doesn't shot very much but moves the puck well, Jackman has that hard shot, Sundin and Mogilny are the Leafs most skilled players, and Perrott can just camp out in front of the net.
Rand - why? Most of the Leafs don't stand in front of the net, which you pretty much need for a good PP. So hes not a great offensive player, big deal. Let him stand in the blue ice so the offensive guys can put the puck in the net. If Nolan or Antropov would do it I'd sooner have them out there, but they won't so put someone who will out there.
Excatly, Perrotts not going to get 20 PP goals, but if hes standing there the guys who can score will do it more often. Like I said if someone was in front of the net last night I would bet Kaberle would have scored
