Why did the Leafs have to try? Why?

I was hoping for another blowout...

Now a penalty for us. I am on the radio, but it sounds like Toronto is coming back to life. Also sounds like Hasek is the difference.

We need the next one badly.

Volchenkov got caught trying to make a change to get Chara on for Sundin, and I guess he held someone, but I didn't see it.

Not a good period from the Sens. They took the foot off the pedal and the Leafs get back into it.

It's really not that overpowering. The Leafs are playing for their season -- well kind of. It isn't much of a press. More like Ottawa is just coasting which is getting them into hot water.

Ottawa looks bored, but if they up "it" even 25%...this one is over.

Sundin is playing as hard as he can. He's getting old, doesn't have that much left.

Glad to see the old swede do his best though. He's a sight to see when he's going "all out".

Damn Sens... they are letting Toronto into this... it should be 3-0.

Spezza's pass was beautiful, but he could be a little better on the back check (story of his life). But yah, the pass was insane.

Volchenkov knocking O'Neil down was halirious... O'Neil went down so slowly.

Sick PP goal.. Nice pass be Heater.. Nice job by Redden to sneak in the shot when it looked like he was past the net

***?

Redden gets a penalty ONLY after the Refs discuss it with all the Leafs on the ice...

errr...ok...

EDIT: Sens argue it back... apparently it's a courtroom tonight.

Can we just conclude that it's a stupid penalty and shouldn't even be in the rulebook in the first place?

If we had Jacques Martin still, we'd be on the penalty kill right now.

Smoke can shoot?

4-1

Loving A-train tonight.

I am officially on the bandwagon to give him some PP time.

That was a beauty breakout pass, Redden-esque. He's playing awesome. Sick backhand by Smoke too.

Should be noted that Volchenkov passed 100 blocked shots for the season tonight and Chara and Phillips are closing in on it too.

Lol... Hasek just stays on the ice like he was chillin on the couch watching Sportscentre.

You gotta love the Leaf fans... watching them celebrate, it's like they were up by 7.

Yeah, Mez got burned, then Volchenkov and Smolinski both took the same guy in front of the net.

Mez and Volchenkov together, hope that doesn't mean Pothier has been given another boost by Murray.

(Pothier sucks)

I still don't see what the coaching staff see in him.
