Yah, Pothier is centring the 1st line now.

Domi with the Gordie Howe hat-trick.

Hasek pulls an Antropov... but the Leafs take advantage.

That goal is on him.

Antropov right back out there after the stupid penalty. Classic Quinn. Domi goes down like he is shot what a "tough" guy.

Whew.

The Senators let this one get too close for comfort.

Great game by Phillips and Volchenkov, AKA 'The Foot Soldiers' on the blueline. The whole blueline actually played great.

Good job by Alfie to kill that one off. It was a little too close for comfort, but the Leafs really wanted this and actually did a good job keeping up.... they still suck tho.

All it took was one relatively close game to restore some confidence, eh?

Clearly Voodoo, the leafs are playoff monsters. I doubt the closeness of this game had nothing to do with a little bit of human pride. After being embarrased 7-0 a better effort must have been expected.

i thought that was as defeated as the Leafs looked in a long time, even throughout our blowouts. Afterwards, you could see the look on some of the players face, as if they had given their absolute best, and it still wasnt enough.

Kudos to them for the effort and giving a game tonight

It's like fate was teasing Toronto. That fluke goal by Antropov, and then that part at the end where the puck jumped to the slot before Alfie saved us. At least this makes our next game vs these guys more intriguing. (That sound you hear is a collective sigh of relief from Leaf fans.)

I think it was good that this game brought us down to reality a little, without enduring a loss. Montreal looks ripe for a beating, but I doubt they'll take the Habs lightly.

lol I yelled "idiot" at the TV cause we all know TVs can hear right? Good game tonight, not too disappointed that we lost since I expected Ottawa to win. Hopefully the next 2 games will be just like this one, but with the Leafs on the winning side Cya guys in March

It was definately more interesting eh. I called the game to end at 4-2. Darn Hasek for fouling up my prediction

The Leafs wanted it, they played sooo much better than Saturday. Nice to see there is still some heart in the team.

Can't believe Belfour didn't get the third star, He kept the team in it through some amazing scoring chances from Ottawa.

Ottawa seemed to go into a bit of a nap there in the third...a little over-confident with a three goal lead perhaps?

Good to see Chuck Norris healthy and piling up some points...

I just hope he can continue doing it against teams with an actual defense.

I was thinking the same thing. Walker really brought the goods again tonight. The second goal was classic, a move so unbelievable you have to just say to yourself in disbelief "Chuck Norris owns all"

Schubie Doobie Doo was in my section last night. Bopping his head to the techno music and wearing a very nice suit.

Always nice to send the Leafs fans home sad. Thanks Sens.

I know this is competely random of me to bring this back up, but I was bored and was just looking at some stats and found some intersting stuff. In terms of even strength scoring from the defensemen, Volchenkov is 3rd behind Chara and Redden. Oddly enough, Meszaros only has 5 even strength points. I think it shows Volchenkov could take on a powerplay role and do fine.
