Thx Dom, I never see those rankings or if I do they usually stop after 1st round picks and other sites I think I have to subscribe and Mrs Odaat would kill me as I`m on here enough. I have stated in either this thread or another I`d like to see them move either Miller or McQuaid and try to get that 3rd round pick back. I can`t stand this team having no pick in any round at all and have long felt, gems found in any round with some solid scouting and some luck of course

Right now seems there's some-kind goalie issue because Rask and Khubodin are injured and Subban hasn't been that good.
So if you were in Don Sweeney who you would take 1st pick.

Would you take 1st line center, scoring winger, puck-moving defenseman, 2way defenseman or back-up goalie for Rask.
Here's some draft eligible prospect for Europe.

You forgot to add Cal Foote of the Kelowna Rockets WHL son of Adam Foote.
Draft some bloodlines as it helps a lot. Notice the Tkachuks, Reinhardts of the draft now being awesome.

Kelowna is a defence building machine having groomed players such as Weber, Hannan, Duncan Keith, the list goes on for D men.

Cal Foote is a no brainier and will be there in the mid - late first round.

thanks Dom, I went to a few sites a couple of days ago and they were subscription only and I wasn`t really into doing that.

Koltygin (44th by the site you sent me) is a nice player, but he`s a C and not someone I think the B`s are looking for but Chekhovich of Drummondville could be, doesn`t bring much in the physical game but has skill to burn, another kid who is fighting with consistency from the games I`ve caught

Thanks again for the link

The more I see Kailer Yamamoto the more I hope he ends up in Boston. Small, shifty playmaker lighting up the WHL.

I was thinking that too. So far he is ranked in the 20s I think, so defski within range of our pick.

If Lias Andersson or Cal Foote fall, we should grab them without any consideration at all.

I also like Sasha Chmelevski a lot.

What are the chances the Bruins still have a 1st round pick this year?

I say 50/50 but this is a weak draft so no big deal to me if they move it for something. We are talking about prospects in that 15-22 range and all come with significant risk is say. Yamamoto is interesting but so was josh ho sang and he's been underwhelming in NY. People talking middelstadt as a top 5 pick when I doubt he's top 15 last year. Fwiw I think that kid is great, really stood out at u18 last year, but he wasn't a top 5 pick to me

Yamamoto doesn't come with the attitude and baggage and is a better . By all accounts he seems like a good kid.

D man Cal Foote of the Kelowna Rockets who have primed great NHL DMen over the years.

Weber, Hannan, Keith to name a few..plus we get the bloodlines from The Foote family.

No brainier Boston, can't miss kid, watch him all the time!

The poster was listing EUROPEAN prospects, though he did include a few NA players.

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but with the number of selections the B's have made the last few years, the fact that many have been progressing, and with the weak draft...

I don't see any way the B's have their 2017 1st after the trade deadline (barring a major injury and/or complete collapse of the team in the next couple of weeks).

CAL Foote of the Kelowna Rockets is going to be a stud. This is a no brainier.

Drafting bloodlines here and Rockets Dman nurtinring who have produced some of the world series best defensemen over the years such a short Keith and WEBER..

TAke Cal Foote if he's there...

Sportsnet's updated entry draft listing. Long way from determining the Bruins draft position, however what's the primary need and/or best player available and who might be the preferred picks among the Bruins posters on the board?

After reading this list and from what I have heard read from many scouting sites it only reiterates my opinion that they should move their first at the draft for an established player or for another draft year. Avoid this draft at all costs, it reeks of the 1999 draft all over again, without the Sedins

I'm still saying Jonah gadjovich would be my pick including everyone from that list after 16. This kid has 40 goals and 65 points in the ohl in 53 games...and it's a horrible draft year..and he's still not getting first round consideration. Supposedly the knock on him is skating but he must be a very bad skater if 40 goals in. Bad draft doesn't put you in the top 30. Either way, he produces at that level so I say take him over these European projects who flash good physical characteristics but poor production. Production over measurables every time for me

Wonder if anyone has seen or heard how Shane Bowers play has been this season? He was highly touted coming out of junior and was a high first round pick in the Q but opted to go the NCAA route. Merick's list describes him as being solid if unspectacular in all facets of his game. Interesting player pegged for perhaps around the 16 to 24 range selection.

May be a draft that Sweeny targets particular players as he has done in the past. The pick could be in play if that preferred player is no longer available.

Elias Petterson at 27? Wow. If he is still available after 10 Bruin should spend a lot to move up to get him. He's like a center version of Pastrnak with better 2-way game.

And yet 27 in a weak draft.
I'll confess I know little of players in the draft, but I'm thinking this Petterson
isn't quite the center version of Pasta.

Well he is putting up point per game in Allsvenskan. Statswise he is doing better than Pastrnak did. He is also insanely skilled and creative. Physically he is very underdeveloped, but that same criticism was used against Pastrnak.

Cal Foote will be long gone when we pick. Probably top 10, maybe top 5.

Have to think Elias Pettersson will be gone too. A forward over six feet that post a ppg in the Swedish-2 league is going to get a buyer.

I think Yamamoto is a great option. We need high end scoring. If we are picking later in the first, I wouldn't mind grabbing Oettinger. We need a high end goalie prospect.

Want to know how dumb i am? I spent the last 20 minutes or so trying to find the player with initials "BPA".

Just realized it meant Best Player Available. Kill me.
