sure, i hate the penguins, but it still sucks that this is the way he had to go out

IMO, he was the best player ever, if it wasnt for his injuries

Def. one of the best of all time. Thanks for the memories Mario, evenhthough the majority of them include me root against you!

Its all good, glad hes moving on for his health. More golf classics in the future maybe?!?!

If your a fan of any kind of hockey, u gotta give it up.
One of the most famous names in hockey. ever. period.

If he's still retired 5 years from now, I'll sing his praise then. Untill then, I'll wait.

** I'm still a little peeved that a spent a pantload of cash to see his "last" game during the 97 playoffs.

I am a big Lemieux fan (except when he plays the Flyers of course). Sad to see him go. Wanted to see him play at least this year and next to pass the torch to Crosby and Malkin.

Here is my hand for the greatest ever, IMO!!!

I'm glad he's gone, I never really liked him, but I do wish him all the best in his personal life with the struggles he's facing. All the best to him, off the ice.

See ya Mary-O... Don't let the door hit you on the way out. Never was a fan of his.

Seattle Penguins doesn't have the same ring to it, but maybe the Pacific Northwest can support a team better than the armpit of Pennsylvania could.
