Game is still going on. 3rd period just started. Maybe we can get 13 SOG!

Are there any positives coming out of Hartford? Has Graves continued his form from last year?

Awesome goal by Hrivik just now. Beat 2 defenders on a great individual effort. Beating the first defender required a nice dangle, too.

Hartford looking much better in the 3rd. Several moments of sustained pressure and rips at the net. We're gonna lose I'm sure, but at least we look like a hockey time in the 3rd.

LOL looked at the boxscore and thought it was over.

Hrivik and Kampfer the only ones with a pulse.

Ryan Haggerty just scored on us with 3 minutes to go. Feels like a Rangers game, lol. 4-1 now.

And of course it was Haggerty's first goal of the year.

4-1 final, ended up with 23 sog, Kampfer had 7 of those, rest of team had 2, 1, or 0 sog.

Surely Kenny G's seat is getting hot, right?

The reports I'm getting from Hartford seem to indicate that a change is needed. They're stuck in a "no man's land" of sorts. Everybody is playing poorly. Goaltending has been inconsistent. Defense has been porous. Forwards have been ineffective. Special teams are terrible.

Something has to give.

It must.

Look just how much they changed approach this season. No star player from last year's Calder Cup winner. Not a bunch of players that on paper should make the team great. Kenny G got them, and go zero results, and probably blamed it on their attitude.

This season like all players they picked up have something to prove. They went out and got guys looking to establish themselves in the NA, not figure out what to do next. Now surely Kenny G should get the required effort, the plan must have been. Surprise surprise, the first time he don't have a top 3-5 roster in the AHL his team is bottom 2-3...

They are just very far from being well coached. No structure what-so-ever. Just playing completely simplistic basic hockey. You never see players in HFD making like "educated decisions" with the puck. Hm we are changing and the opponent team is changing, maybe I should go back with the puck to our Ds instead of dumping it in? If anyone try to do anything, nobody else will be in on it.

At least in 2-3 years time, I just assume something will be done. Is Schoney still in charge? When he goes Kenny G got to go. Nobody with any kind of modern approch to the game would accept what Kenny G is putting on the ice.

And this is not at all about knowing that it is better to play X way than Y way. Its all about knowing how to get a team to execute playing the X way, the right way. OK, we are failing in this area, now it will take Z amount of hours of a certain specific drills to correct this problem. We need to improve the roster in certain areas. We really much teach a certain number of individuals a few things. Its advanced know-how all the way. Someone asked, how can Kenny G be this bad? The question should be the opposite, why should he have any clue what this is about? Because he was coached by John Paddock in like 1999? Kenny G has never been even remotely close to a hockey team doing these things. Sure, AV can send him a few slides, but its extremely far from being as simple as that. Like people at this place can recognize what is wrong with a team and call out what like the best coach in the world have been unable to get from his team. But the hard part is correcting something with a team. That is a process that can take years and always requires a ton of know how.

The only worse team in the AHL is the Utica Comets.

Which happens to be the team that just beat us.

Good for Halvy. I think he's a better prospect than he's given credit for here.

From everything I've seen, the organization thinks highly of him. And given that main evaluator of talent for this position is Benoit Allaire, I've been more than willing to wait and see.

Who was it that was adamant that there were guys in his men's league better than Glass?

The feed for the Binghamton v Hartford game tonight is much clearer than usual. Pretty much high def.

Unortunately, we're losing already. 1-0.

Nieves just took a hooking penalty. Hartford has the 2nd worst PK% in the league and has given up the 3rd most PP goals in the AHL.

Hartford killed the PP. Slow game so far. Over half the period gone and a total of 5 shots on goal between both teams.

Hrivik just scored his 7th goal of the season 8 seconds into a PP. Assists to Kampfer and Gilmour. Shot was a hard, rising slapper from behind the left side face-off dot.
