Dustin Brown.

Has anyone else noticed that Brown has been the Kings best player night in and night out the last 4 or 5 games? Ever since he's come back from his injury he's played with alot more confidence, is driving the net, and of course is making the big hits again. Hopefully he keeps it up.

he was the only King I noticed in the Buffalo game...

I haven't been able to watch any games since, but he has been picking up the offense of late and adding to his hit list

I have been very encouraged by his play. I had no idea what a great and quick shot he has.

I can't wait to see this kid in the playoffs on an annual basis. He is a perfect playoff style guy.

I'll say it again for the umpteenth time. Put Brown in front of the net on the PP and the kid will score 35 goals.

Concur. While I'm not happy that Demitra is out, I am glad that Brown is playing with some players not names Kostopolus & Guiliano. He is really starting to shine offensively, and he's keeping up with the hitting. He's definatley a keeper...

Has anybody seen any online video highlights of Brown's hit on Carney towards the end of regulation?

I didn't tape the game and it went by so fast, but it looked and sounded monstrous.

I hope Brown will get a shot at skating on the second line next year with Luc, JR, and possibly Army not coming back. He's got all the tools to be a scoring forward: good speed, good hands, a great shot off the rush, and he's more than willing to go to the net.

But despite some flashes of brilliance recently, I don't think he's ready to be counted on in a scoring role this year, other than some power play time in front of the net, as Legionnaire mentioned.

Frolov and Cammy are streaky enough as it is (as is to be expected of young players developing into Top 6 roles) and I'd rather not have to depend on yet another young player in the Top 6 going down the stretch this year.

I'd like to see Fro-Camm-Brown line for a few games to see what they can muster.

I only saw it once, but it looked to me like Brown got an elbow up. I think that that's what Carney was so livid about for 20 seconds afterward.

The goal scored by Luc was a direct result of a Brown hit just before the puck went into the neutral zone. That hit allow Lubo to skate with ease into the zone.

This kid is going to be an awesome player for LA for years to come.

The core is there:

Frolov, Brown, Gleason, Garon, Cammy, Demitra, Conroy, Matti, Avery, Miller.

Waiting in the wings:

Petiot, Tambs, Kopitar, Tukonen.

No, he was just embaressed that he got plowed over by a 21 year old.

I would like to see him spend less time in the box for high sticking and hooking. I do like this kid a lot.

Love this kid!

I just love this kid. I drafted him in my lifetime hockey pool(my franchise). He is on my bench, but I think he is putting up some very good numbers for a kid. Along with the great young players around him, I only think he is going to prosper. This is great for me, as well as all you KINGS fans. I am only going on stats, cause I don't see him play much, but sounds like he's doing just fine.

If there was a stat on monstrous hits......he'd be leading it! He doesn't care who he buries.........but 9 times out of 10 it's the other teams star or superstar!
Plays his best hockey on a line with Belanger and Avery.
