Elite, franchise player. I was really pumping his tires when we signed him, both on the forum and in real life. But it looks like even I undersold him. He's really incredible. I've never seen a forward in this era protect the puck the way he does. Whenever he goes into the corner, you just know that he will come out with the puck; he does NOT lose any puck battles. His vision is off the charts, he's always looking to set someone up for a beauty. His backhand is heavier and more accurate than most players wrist shots.

There literally is nothing below great with this player. A month ago I had him as a top 10 winger. I'm struggling to come up with 5 wingers that I'd take over him for this season. Actually, I'm struggling to find another winger as dominant as Rad or who can take over the game the way he does.

Radulov is basically Kovalev with the heart of Gallagher or Gallagher if he had elite talent.

Radulov is better the more presure you put on him, playing in Montreal is the best place for him. Nashville was a waste of time, wait until the playoff he will be like a child in christmas in Montreal He's the perfect player, he can grind, good in the d-zone, playmaker, score, and im sure he can fight (i don't want him to).. Still can't believe some guys said it was Semin all over again.

He will get whatever he wants, here or elsewhere. Bergevin surely knows this and will attempt to extend him once the January deadline passes. You simply cannot let a player of his caliber walk away. I think that signing him will be a way to lure other KHL stars to choose Montreal as a destination.

Before the season start, I said he would be our best scorer.
Now, I must admit than I was expecting 65-70 points from Galchenyuk.

Still expect Radulov to be our best scorer.
For now Galchenyuk line is scoring 62 points with Patches.
Top-5 or top-3 line in the league.
Radulov playmaking hability is among the best in the league.

Radulov is amazing but he isn't even as good as Kovalev, let alone if Kovalev had the heart of Gallagher Maybe just past his prime Kovy.

His skating style is sight to behold. Looks like he learned to skate on a frozen Siberian Lake. A giraffe on skates comes to mind.

Courage? Really Brian? Desperate for offense is more like it. Great that it worked out for MB. Now sign him long term in January.

Man, Brian gets paid to be a sports journalist but couldn't take the time to do his homework on Radulov.

With Markov, Emelin, Radulov, Sergachev and Galchenyuk (kinda) you may have an excellent point. Man, it would be great to get a few of those Russian forwards.

If you're referring to Radu's talent, most including Wilde never doubted his talent. I think what Brian is referring to is the rumours that radulov was a basket case. After all he left Nashville and the NHL twice and then there was that misleading video of Radu hitting an assistant coach over the head with his stick. Now that we know the player better we all realize that video captured an intense Radulov probably upset at himself. You conveniently forget all the detractors when the signingw ent through who kept referring to that video and claiming it would be toxic between Therrien & Radulov.

I believe Brian is actually referring to "last year's debacle" as Semin's failed tenure last season. Hopefully I'm wrong, because that's an incredibly bland and dumb statement. You should've never evaluated the Semin and Radulov acquisitions as comparable, simply because they're not. Semin was a bum when we signed him... there's a reason Radulov is making 5x what Semin got on his one year deal.

Radulov is leading by example plain and simple, he made so many good plays yesterday it was hard to keep track of. Someone said he was like Gallagher with more size and talent, I kind of agree.

My guess is it's more around 6.8m$ but the term is perfect. I think he and Galchenyuk will get the same salary with Galchenyuk obviously getting the years

Nobody was talking Radulov......when he was signed, many on the TSN panel were like WTF???

This was a great signing when you compare what other players got vs their current production......Eriksson, Ladd, Boedker are not necessarily "lighting it up" with their respective teams....meanwhile, Bergevin hits a homerun with this signing.......let's give credit where credit is due here.....

Such an exciting player to watch... If he were in the league for the last 4-5 years he would be talked about around the league in the same breath as ovi, malkin, taresenko and the other russian stars...

Not sure if I am shaking my head at the Isles signing Ladd or more like signing Ladd instead of resigning Okposo. Ladd isn't even not necessarily "lighting it up"... he can't seem to find the matches.

Wasn't Radulov a center in Russia, for some time? Why not try him at center and if it works, turn him into the 2nd line C.

I would rather him at his natural position. He drives the play regardless of his position. Honestly would not mind patches, danault and radulov, or patches shaw radulov. It's weird because now our center becomes the grinder on the line
