What kind of matchup is McAllister-Battaglia-Cummins against Knuble-Thornton-Murray?!? A dumb move made by Granato.

Bruins score...Grosek makes it 3-1 with 0.08 seconds left in the second.

Man, words just can't describe it...

Stop blaming the coaching.

Our top two lines would very bad so far, and the Bruins are clogging up every spot on the ice. Also, our defensemen are having a terrible time at keeping the puck in the zone.

Bruins deserve this win, for sure. Great road game played to perfection thus far.

And for the critics... David Aebishcer is playing well. Some great stops on Glen Murray.

Nah. I think I'll continue to blame the coaching.

Cummins/Battaglia/McAllister ....especially out there against Boston's #1 line? LOL

Gimme a break.

I think we're all just surprised by the turn of events.

Into the season, Aebi was supposed to be the weakest link, but so far, he's been playing his heart out (see that kicksave on Murray?).

Crap, the players saw the 2nd winding down to less than 3 seconds and just stopped playing...Unfortunately, Grosek didn't stop and that's why he got a clean wrister in-between the circles.

Coaching is not what is causing the AMP and ACE lines to be so ineffective, is it?

Before anybody criticizes putting Chris McAllister on the ice for the powerplay...

The Avs' first three PP opportunities(with the loaded units) had *1* shot total, so Tony Granato had no choice but to mix it up.

Oh, and Paul Kariya has been absolutely invisible. The guy does not throw a single body check, not even to rub his man out of the play. He does not cycle the puck in the offensive zone. He does not help defensively. All he does is wait to take a one timer or a slap shot.

Brutal game.

Awesome game by the Bruins, all the credit in the world to them tonight.

The Pepsi Center is clearing with around six minutes still left in the game.

Jim Cummins with a game misconduct and a double-minor penalty, interference and an unsportsmanlike conduct.

Nah, with the score what it is, pointless to put out the star players.

Once again, I saw way too many fancy passing. On one of the Avs PPs, all they did was pass the puck counter-clockwise around the boards...not once, but twice

I just thought with the horrible EDM game, the Avs would put on a better showing tonight...I certainly hope the Avs don't string 3 bad games in a row.

See, this is the time Roy's leadership would be great. Down 2-1 late in the second...I could just picture Roy being irate and jumping up and down, banging his stick, screaming for the team to play better

You just figured this out today? Most of the hockey world has known this for years. Doesn't mean I wouldn't take him for $1.2 million bucks though.

They're going through the phase that they think that talent alone will win them the games they play again...

No offensive help for Aebischer and once again, the Avs are outplayed on the ice.

Boston looked very very good tonight; great roadtrip for them... 9/12 points. Very impressive win.

Could you please clarify that?

In the Avs 2 wins they have outscored the opposition 10-2, hardly a need for Abby to star. In 2 of the Avs losses (didn't play the other) he has played superb but the team has lost therefore he has earnt the team nothing.

This doesn't refer to the quoted post but isn't it a bit early in the season for all this drama? I mean it aint like the Avalanche are 0-4-0-1

I'm wondering what Granato will be saying during the post-game conference.

"Yes, we felt that matching Thorton's line size for size would have effectively neutralized them. Unfortunately, that just didn't happen."

Sadly, he didn't account for speed or overall offensive game as Thorton's line accounted for 3 of Boston's 4 goals.

Come on! Cummins vs. Thorton in the circle?

I don't understand...Avs started like they were going to wipe ice with the B's...I can't believe what I just saw. B's have definetily shown character.

Good luck to the Avs in the next games! Don't worry..you have so many stars..it was scary even to hear your lines, I was on the edge whole game.
