Yesterday night, you saw what a good coach does against a bad coach. I hope Marc et sa gang saw that.

I saw what a BIG team can do against a small team.

Is the Habs that decide the AHL coach?

He's been seeing that through 5 years' worth of wardrobe changes, up to and including his purple pant extravaganza -- obviously, doesn't appear to bother him too much.

Well it'd certainly would be a good upgrade instead of Lefebvre. Probably means that we're stuck with Lefebvre for the rest of the season though...

Please no.

His QMJHL team is boring as hell. Everyone who follows the Q and isn't a fan of the Armada knows that.

He has wins but as far as development, his players mostly learn to play defense.

I'd prefer André Tourigny.

Joel Bouchard just shot down the rumor live. Says rumor is a huge lack of respect towards Sylvain Lefebvre since they are friends back from when they played together.

Bouchard must be pissed off with Laraque !

But... can you imagine Bouchard coaching in Laval, and Lefebvre taking JJ Daigneault place behind the Habs bench ?

Because if what Laraque said is true, no way Lefebvre would stay in St-John's until the end of the season if he doesn't have a big candy waiting for him in Montreal at NHL level.

If his players learn something, anything he's an upgrade to Lefrebvre.

There is NOTHING waiting for him anywhere, if he walk out of the door now his not getting paid. He'll get the money if we fire him tho... But I think his contract is over at the end of the year now.

Why wouldn't he? He played in the league for 10+ years, made friends just about everywhere he went too, had an agent, etc.

Shouldn't rocket be plural? Or do the 20 players combine to form one giant rocket?

I changed it to speculation. I don't know how reliable Laraque is but if true just about anything would be an upgrade on Lefebvre. So I hope he's right.

Ironically the other two names in the running for the team are plural, the Rapids, Patriots, and Rocket. I really like the Laval Rapids and I think it made a ton of sense if they were called that.

What's taking so long to reveal Le Rocket de Laval logo?

Along with the jerseys & other stuff.

Seems like after the announcement in September, the team has gone silent on their affiliate.

Marc Denis is great as analyst but he is a regular analyst, it doesn't show that much that he is at ice level. What was so awesome when Joel was between the bench, he really used his position to the fullest, he would tell us what was going on at ice level, all the little details, who was pissed off at who, if someone had missed something he would say it, etc....

Completely agree. I loved Bouchard in that role.
