The success of this this starts from there. Their offense is only built around Alfie-Spezza and Heatley but when you have a defense like that everybody can shine because they always have the puck. Habs need to build a solid core, that would help the transition game and we wouldnt see more 12 shot games anymore. Forget all th trades for weight and those line combination thread. Its tim to start a lets get a defensive core thread....
Fisher is really underrated, amazing player.. Havlat is also missed alot, he makes a the Sens an even better team.. scary.

I still think that the defense is the key to the succes of this team. They are fast, physical, Big and mean. I agree that fisher is underrated though...

You are right.. Sens D has basically no weakness but they have some fast and skilled fowards as well... Vermette for example.. They are also playing with a high level of confidence while ours just cant be lower.

I hope Gainey put Kostitsyn in the line-up for good.. I wish Perezhogin called up soon as well... Gainey has to make a shaking move.. Zednik in minors, calling up Perezhogin would be a big one IMO.

Perez should be with the big club but its not going to change the fact that our defence is not very good and we spend most of the game in our zone because of it.

I desagree here.. This is not all about the way our defensemans play but the way our fowards play in our own zone as well... 5 players on the ice and our fowards look quite lost, lazzy in our territory. Plenty of time you will see 1 defenseman against 2 opponents deep in our zone, there is just no support.

Julien, Gainey, Carbo, Jarvis.. All specialists of the defensive side of the game.. Big contrast, we are playing bad like I rarely seen defensively.

We are not playing like a team and most vets are so lazzy.. painful.

Could have guessed this outcome... Habs spent all their gas beating Flyers. This is what you can expect taking flat team against the best outfit in entire league. Thankfully this trip comes to and end soon.

Did anyone mention Gainey saying that the refs were calling our guys for clipping their toe nails?

Damn, no wonder we can't win a game.

What you have to know is that the Flyers are playing their worst hockey of the season.

saturday is the point of no return. Habs lose, season is over and let's clean this mess up, and let's draft a really good player for once.
