That hit by Eakin is really, really bad. Double digits should be the minimum there.

How the hell did no one feed Eakin his lunch after that?

Lindy Ruff is a hypocrite.

On the Lucic hit on Miller:

Ruff said Monday morning: “If (Lucic) isn’t suspended, it just means that teams will be able to do exactly what Lucic did. Your goaltender can play the puck, we can run him over, we can hurt him, and all you get is a two-minute minor penalty,” Ruff said. “That is essentially what that means. You can concuss the other team’s goaltender. You can run him whatever speed he was going, he made no attempt to get out of the way.

“It means it’s fair game on goaltenders again.”

On the Eakin hit on Lundqvist:

Stars coach Lindy Ruff defended Eakin.

"I understand the call. As a penalty killer, he's trying to gain speed so he can get back. I know it doesn't look that way, but there was no intent on his part," Ruff said.

It was a brutal hit. Looked to m like Eakin set his shoulder to make the hit. To me, that's intent.

Even worse to me was both Vesey and Skjei saw it happen right in front of them and neither went after Eakin.

If that situation played out exactly the same with Rask and the Bruins I'd be pissed. At some point you have to say **** the 2 points and take care of your team.

Did here a comment on the SNet noon show a couple days ago on the topic of Florida. Though was that the new owners plan looks to be on flipping the franchise to make some quick money. Quebec comes to mind as being ready to pounce should that happen.

Coincidence that Loria, who owns the Marlins, is said to be looking to sell as well for a mere 1.7 billion. Run them into the ground and try to get as much money from a new owner may be the preferred strategy at play. Muddled situations these days for sure with a couple sports teams in south Florida.

Eakin was handed 4 games for his run in with HL. Hoffman with the Sens received 2 for the cross check to the back on Coutoure's head.

"Panic Sets In For Habs Once Again" may well be the newspaper headline for tomorrow in La Belle Province.

How is Ohlund in the Canucks ring of honor and not Bure?

He is soo used to others blowing his horn steady (kissing his butt) that he gets really childish with a bad game and its never his fault Thus the stare at team.Reports I got on tv was he left bench in 2nd period and did not sit with team for third. Not sure if accurate but if true then the habs coach is spineless .A coach that puts team first does not allow that to happen.

Still a hell of a goalie.

Funny how the Habs start so strong in the last couple years then seem to fall from grace.

Damn Habs with Roy then Price but I guess we get Bourque then Chara, plus Moog and Rask has been great as well, we havent suffered as much as some teams.

Yes he is a good goalie for sure ,but this pedastal people put him on is tiring..Hardy Astrom could of won Gold in nets with the team Canada had.Until he gets a Cup Ring, I cannot put him among the best ever.Even with a Hart .

Not close to best ever.

Roy Hasek Brodeur Sawchuk ect.

He is in the top 3 this year with Rask and Dubnyk
.

Why couldn't the Habs roll with Red light Racicot, he was my favorite Habs goalie
