Here's hoping there are viable solutions for PK that don't involve surgery. Gotta think that is what this whole 2-3 week stuff is about.

As per the Admirals Roundtable on 1-3-17, Anthony Bitetto has been assigned to Milwaukee for 2 weeks of rehab.

Take it for what it's worth but there's rumors Subban has a new injury separate from the back.

This going to end up like the shortened season before it's over. We may be fielding an AHL team by the time it's said and done.

Time to start looking at the draft if we get any more injuries. Too bad it's considered a weaker year.

Yeah that year was brutal to watch, let's hope we don't get to that point. We still have the all star break and bye week were guys can't get hurt this season.

Probably reaggravated the injury from the Jets game. Wouldn't be shocked if it happened when Irwin hit him in the hand/wrist area with the puck a few games ago.

Yep- I am almost to the point that I just want this season over with so we can get to next season- this whole year has been like pulling teeth.

Almost zero chance for us to go on a run with all these injuries....

Arvy skating today but doesn't look like he'll play. No Wilson today.

Injuries suck but it's not like the preds are the only team to have them.

It shouldn't be an excuse for their current record or play this season.

Other teams have had worse injuries in numbers or in terms of quality players. Guys need to be able to step up or the GM needs to be ready to make moves.

Well this season is compressed and there does seem to be some kind of relationship with a compressed year and higher number of injuries. And this kind of is like the shortened year except so far (other than possibly Subban), we haven't lost anyone for the year. That year it seemed like once a player got hurt, he was gone for the year. Wilson, Hornqvist, Bourque, Fisher, I know there were a few others too. Although we still do not know the status of Salomaki.

May or may not have a herniated disc. Will be reevaluated in a week or two. Probably going to be a disaster because that's how things have gone lately.

Let's say you're the GM. What are your specific ideas for solving the current injury situation?

Right now though, our injuries are crippling to any team.

Top goal scorer, top point producer, top defenseman. Add in a few depth players that are out as well...

How good would Chicago be without Kane, Panarin and Keith?

Still good because they still have Toews and Hossa.

i'm not blaming injuries for the poor start to the season, that happened because of inconsistent play. what the injuries have done recently in my mind though is to prevent the team from turning things around just as the team began finding itself defensively and becoming slightly more consistent in net. seems like each time we've been right on the verge of putting together a good stretch of hockey and making a little run someone else gets injured right now.

the timing of the two Neal injuries, and the Ellis one especially seemed to each come right when things were beginning to look better. When ellis went down, the defense regressed immediately as we struggled to re-pair guys, and of course with neal, both times the offense immediately slumped afterwards.
