Watching the NY feed. Certainly no shortage of love for Crosby. The Isles tv side announcers spent the first 5 minutes of the period talking about Crosby in glowing terms.

One of the announcers mentioned a conversation he had with (I missed the name, must be someone in the Flyers organization because they played them twice in the last 10 days.) someone who called Sid "a mini-Forsberg".

Ice tilted in 1st period.

All Isles.

Shots with 20 seconds left. 14-3 Isles favor

Caron played very well.

Pen's second game in two nights, haven't had their legs yet.

Sid coming into the offensive zone 1 on 2, attempts to split D with speed, they sandwich him, Sid dives ahead to avoid contact, and still gets a shot on goal. Isles called for penalty on the play.

PP for the Pen's.

Not a really eventful PP. Spent a lot of time in the Isles' zone though. Lefebvre rings it off the post.

This team's biggest problem is it's inability to keep their sticks off the other team.

Satan a PP goal (5 on 3)

2-0 Isles.

Nothing Caron could do about either goal.

What a reaction by the big guy...it looked almost like he wasn't sure how to celebrate. I'm sure that's gotta feel good for him though. Nice to see.

So if the earth shakes would Sid still be accused of diving?

Hopefully we can come out and get a quick goal to get back into it,had some pressure there in their end, just need to put one in the net to get back into it.

As many people are pointing out lately, this team is similiar to the '03-'04 team. Hard working, just cannot score, not much in the way of good defense. BUT this current edition has a MUCH better nucleus to move forward with.

That certainly doesn't look good. Think it's safe to say we just lost another player.

Kvasha 3-1 Isles

Horrible giveaway leads to Kvasha going in on Caron all alone.

I beileve that was Recchi with the horrible pass and giveaway.

Gonchar scores

3-2 Isles

EDIT Recchi tipped puck in, Recchi with the goal not Gonchar.

Yup. That looked extremely painful. Pens score, 3-2 Isles now.

I know Sid didn't get an assist on the last goal but he easily could have, seeing how he set the play up as usual.
