Huet appreciation thread

Sens fan here. The Habs second in line.

Huet =

Clearly after a couple of starts, Gainy should keep playing him. Congrats Christo!

He's no Hasek but he certainly kept the game from getting really ugly a la Laffs. It could have just as easily been 8-0 Sens.

Agreed. Just thought he deserves the recognition. Lets hope it's not a fluke and that he steals the #1 job.

CRISTOBAL HUET MTL Avg. 2.88 % .915

He is the best goaltender in Montreal since... Théodore

Those are pretty good numbers considering what plays in front of him.

Agreed.
Huet prevented the Habs from being embarassed beyond being shutout.

I have been pleasantly surprised by Huet. I hope the team gives him the support he deserves.

I think it's his depending on whether or not he's too damn tired. Last night Murray Wilson was saying on CJAD that he could barely keep his head up near the end of it all

Huet >> Garon.

I said earlier this month.

It's simple. Huet looks a bit of a jerk and talks with a snot in his nose. The guy is extremely competitive. OTOH, Garon looks like Ronald Macdonald and talks like a deer in headlights.

Physically Garon has far better tools. Mentally, Huet has far better tools.

I hope Huet turns into a consistant #1. The Habs haven't had one since Roy. But Not giving Theo a chance to bounce back doesn't give him any trade value. Double edge sword comes to mind here.
