Face-off Technique

I have really been struggling lately to improve my face-off technique. Does anybody have any pointers?

FYI..I play in a street league, and we use a ball rather than a puck

keep your eye on the puck as the ref is dropping it, not as it hits the ice.
widen your stance and lean forward a bit, get low to the ice.
choke way down on your stick.

and dont blink.

Take the puck after you tap sticks twice instead of three times.
