We want people that work hard and then we say that Cassels would be good?

Yakubov

Yakubov's a hardworker, right ?
Even TSN.ca says that he needs to step up the intensity level. Exactly what we need.
6'03'' lefthanded pivot.

Cassels, Yakubov.. we don't have to draft every waivers. Just be patient.

Man, oh.. man I find it hard to trust Gainey. But, I still believe he's not dumb enough not to shake things up soon.

You want a team build exclusively from waived players, we get it. You don't have to post in here everytime someone gets waived. Seriously, we get it.

Ironically, the only waived player you didn't post about was picked by the Habs.

could you say this about ribero?

Strengths: Size, raw power, hands, overall puck skills, and vision. This big hard driving horse plays a power game and will take the hit to make the play. He has jump in his rangy stride along with puck skills, and nose for the net. He is a good faceoff man with a strong work ethic, always defensively responsible and doing the little things that make good three zone players. He is a creative playmaker who works every shift and whose size/skill ratio projects to any forward position. Has all the tools necessary to be offensive power forward.

Presently, he looks like a possible major league center, if he can adapt at the NHL level play when he arrives. He comes with a can’t miss tag as an NHL player.

Of course he's good. He's a great player , good offense and amazing vision on the ice. Excellent forecheck , always backcheck and works hard every shift. Why else would one of the worst team in the league wave him unless he was an exceptionnal talent.

I'm not upset. Your threads are getting redundant. You always repeat the same thing. Your threads are redundant because you repeat the same thing over and over. Redundant. Repeat. Over and over.

I'm surprised you haven't mentionned Vandermeer in over 15 minutes.

Doug..

Doug, mate..
No, I can't say that about Ribeiro.
But, according to TSN.ca, Yakubov need to step up the intensity level. If ever they are right, well I think we have enough players don't don't step it up right now.

Quite frankly, I have a thing for Russia, so anything coming from there, I tend to over-evaluate.

If half the description you gave me above, with the hardworking part in particular are true, I'm asking why Chicago would wave him. But, the Hamks are playing poor hockey, and maybe it is part of the shae-up to free the team of all those Russians.

Would I like the Habs to take that change on a big power-center ? Yes I would (now that I read his supposed strenghts). But, I'm sure they won't, and if they would they would have to get rid of someone themselves, and Ribeiro comes to mind.

I like project, that's why I liked Perezhogin & Kostitsyn's pick alot. I wouldn't mind adding that big pivot project.
I'd sure show more interest in tomorrow's game if they'd pick him...

I would like Vandermeer too but Chicago won't let him go. It's not that I don't agree with you but we need to be patient, no need to repeat it we need something to be done. I feel your pain doug.

Yakubov is big, young, has skill, cheap and free. Realy I would not mind at all too pick him up. Might just be a great center for the 4th line. But besides that I know nothing about him. But hey what dammage could he do too the team, dont we need to get bigger??

wow, Cassels gets waived. Who is there left on the caps roster that can play with Ovechkin? I wonder how many points Alexander would have if he had some decent linemates. The only way we can take Cassels is if Bonk goes the other way. That's how I see it. But Cassels won't bring fireworks.
