He's a good player. I like the way he plays. Gets in on the forecheck throws his weight around. What have you seen that is SO bad from him?
Well, most recently, he took a page from Joe Corvo's playbook and vacated the front of the net to help Weaver with Laracque, leaving Edmonton to a free goal on Garon.
He has some skill on offense, but I've never seen him do anything outstanding in the defensive zone. He makes a great 4th liner, but if he can be used as a trade asset to help the team get someone better, he needs to go.
Fourth line guys are a dime a dozen, and it's not like Cowan comes to any team with a wad of success. He's burnt through a few teams and will probably burn through a couple more before he becomes a footnote on the pages of NHL history.
I can see a team like Florida grabbing him, but since they just picked up Jon Sim, I would say, one fourth liner at a time...
Ottawa will go for guys like Doug Weight... Philadelphia will also try to get the best player possible. Teams won't be lining up for Jeff Cowan... It's just a fact of life.
Ok, guys Belanger is back, this is GOOD, he will definately help our PK, i think JR is going to come back with a vengance! I have a strange feeling, he's WAY too good of a hockey player over the years ! and Demetria, we all know what he is capable of! did anyone notice that Conroy finally took over the team lead in points with 51 yesterday, and Pavol has been out almost 3 weeks. I can't wait til' this team is healthy!!!! GO KINGS GO!!!!!
