Plans still haven't been finalized for when dinner happens, but it'll surely inevitably involve noshing on ALL THE LATKES. Beyond that, we kind of get randomly creative.

We are having latkes too, but I think that's our Christmas Eve/first night food.

I am assuming potatoes as in boiled potatoes? For old times sake Lasse, you wouldn't mind taking us through the process of boiling potatoes?

Find a way to incorporate the skins into your dinner plans. They are probably the healthiest part and where all the fiber is

I made a deal with the rabbits. If they lay off the booze I do not touch their foods.

It sounds like you haven't been keeping up your end of the bargain.

Policeman of the year 1987 and Helsinki drug crime unit chief Jari Aarnio was today convicted for 10 years after being found guilty of swapping sides in Helsinki vice. The police previously dug a personal stash of 65 000 euros hidden in his yard in investigation. The chief also had a habit of bonking a familiar lady of the night on duty while Emmerdale was on, around 1700 hour, the investigation found out.

Already as a young geezer I saw the wickedness of war.

In the snow war a six year old girl got hit with an icy block of ice thrown by a close neighbour. Wounded, a face crying dark red fled the final theater of war. War had already committed too many streets into an expansive circle of revenge. The war was over with one throw but I doubt if war will ever cease in any of us.

New year's celebration ceased in Jarmo Kekäläinen's home town Kuopio's spa hotel Rauhalahti as DJ Vladimir at 2300 hour turned on president Vladimir Putin's new year speech on screen after the Russian national anthem was played. Tango queen Erika Vikman's turn followed after the hour long speech.

President Niinistö also had a new year's speech:

Good listeners. People, animals and plants: from the same root, of the same matter stated author Juha Hurme in the sight radio news during Christmas time. Suppose it is like that and we have to get along amongst each other. Last year we were also familiarized with Sulo Karjalainen who has a bear as a companion. So in that way animal looks upon human, human upon animal, from eye to eye. They understand something, quite much even, of each other. Humanity or animality? Creatures of nature both. How about human to human, eye to eye?

Bearman Sulo commented:

- You have to develop your own living as long as butter melts in mouth. After that all tasks are transferred as responsibilities of others.

A liquorice pipe is nowadays a K-18 product in Finland as tobacco laws change.

What has surprised you about the life in the Americas?

I suspect people of this forum are at this very moment wearing shoes inside their houses.

Not a chance. If I could go barefoot 24/7 I totally would.
