I can't wait to hear what Van Boxmeer has to say about this game...

Man, if they keep playing like this, they'll be called the Los Angeles Leafs

Yes, the indoctrination begins early and is reinforced at every opportunity, so that by the time they get the call-up to the big club, well..."you get what you have here today. Which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it."

Is it better to have Demitra and Belanger back in the lineup or not?

I don't expect ANY player to come back before they can go 100%. If having them back means that the Kings play worse, don't bring them back.

...and it's not like any of us expected a hat trick out of each of them this game. I don't even see either of them as a huge problem in this game - the fact is that the problem ISN'T injuries, it's the SYSTEM.

Virtually all of these players have been successful at some time in their careers - suddenly NONE of them can play anymore? They can't shoot, defend, pass? That seems pretty unlikely.

Everybody needs to stop looking for excuses and accept reality - there has to be accountability.

That's only for the players...It's not the coach or system, it's the players.

You can be 100% and not be in game shape (and that doesn't mean out of shape). You can feel as good as you want in practice but until you get into a game you're still going to be rusty when you've missed a few weeks.

Meanwhile, some wild stuff is happening here. If something doesn't blow up in this game, it definetaly will on Monday.

Fine - how long do they get a "pass"?

If you keep excusing a subpar TEAM performance, that's EXACTLY what you'll get.

I just posted the exact same observation on a thread on the Monarchs board in reference to their game against Albany, the last place team in their division. In effect, their offensive prowess has been rendered impotent. This is Tambellini, Tuk, Push, Kanko, Ryan, Smyth...guys that have always proved effective at applying offensive pressure (in the AHL if not the NHL) and now can't even get a shot on goal.

And if it weren't for Hauser doing cartwheels and standing on his head in net, it would be something like 4 or 5 to zip. This is insanity!

It's the 54th game of the year and the Kings coaching staff still don't have a clue on good line combinations? That was Van Boxmeer's analysis on the game so far...

I think that it is time to bench Cammy again. Or trade him and a pick for somebody.

This is where they try a bit harder for a few minutes to get back into the game so that the coach can say afterward that he's pleased with how the team battled hard to get back

Well its a sea of negativity here. Fire your coach and hire who? Who is going to come in and turn it all around? I'm curious lets have it.

If the Kings score once a minute, they win the game, right?

I'm not a fan of rough stuff, but have you noticed in this game how the Ducks repeatedly stick up for their players when they're touched, but the Kings skate away? I wouldn't mention anything if it weren't such a stark contrast.

If they just get one shot once per minute on this major, it'll be a huge improvement

I am not calling for his head so in order to fire the coach there must be a replacement - who is it? Hans Zach would come in screaming and yelling , trapping the life out of everyone. Perhaps Chris McSorely so that there you can see what coaches are like with no professionalism or credibility.

Someone with different ideas on how the game should be played would do wonders for this team. Andy's style just wears his own team down mentally and physically. Let's get some new ideas here.

That's what I was thinking. Unless they come back to win, I don't want them coming back at all. DT can't ignore the pile of blowouts forever.

Someone... So you guys with the great knowledge of systems and preparation cannot produce a name. Someone. Yes lets call dial a coach and order one with different ideas. Maybe you are right. But who?

The only thing I'm pulling for now is a hat trick for Mike.

Andy wasn't much of a "name" until DT hired him. If you think that he's such a great coach, then you have to agree that a coach doesn't need to be well-known to be good.

What did Van Boxmeer tell the Kings during the timeout? Don't shoot the puck and just pass it around?
