Downie Quote About Ivanans

"I'm a tough guy and I feel better with Raitis in the line-up so I can just imagine what Mr. Riberio feels." (laughs)

I got this from another board. The poster there said the source was "team 990 audio quote at practice today".

Now if only Downie can score we can have a Neil/McGratton thing going on.

That would be sooooo sweet...

don't rule it out. If he keeps crashing the net, as gracefully as Neil has been, it can happen.

And Raitis, well, I'd feel safe if I was a damn Mafia boss and had this guy as a bodyguard...

I don't want to be picky but when I saw your title, I was just wondering what Steve Downie had to do with Ivanans.....

It's Aaron DownEY

I heard the sound..

Aaron Downey was entertaining.
PJ Stock didn't stop saying good and really funny stuff about him.
I believe more and more that we needed guy like him. Funny.

He said that it's like the beginning of a new career for him in Montreal. A franchise that he was a fan off from his youth, he said that if he needs to fight three times a game to stay, he'll do it. He'll skate as hard he can and always, always protect his teamates. He also said that he feel better with Raitis, so imagine Mr.Ribeiro. He said Mr. No sarcasm though, but almost...

He said after hearing PJ's comments:"when will I be on his show" and he sounded like he really wanted too.

Second good quote from Downey I've heard in the short time he's been a Hab. (first one about how he's willing to do anything to stick up for his teammates, even if it means getting hit by a truck)

I'm liking this pick up more and more. Seems like a good guy to have around the locker room, in addition to on the ice.

There were a couple of shots of Ivanans in the penalty box on Saturday and looked positively demented. He had a missing tooth and a fairly psycho look on his face.

Yes...He shows great work ethic. Heard when the going gets though, he has enough talent and ability to carry the team on his back. Great character guy, his heart is twice as big as his smile. For a change, the scouts are doing a good job.
