I've watched a number of games, and have criticized his defense. I am saying that I've noticed him playing more consistent defense of late.

I like Paliotta as our second best D in Hartford though Summers might be a better option as a call up at this point. Graves has the best two way game. Has the best size. Has the best shot. Needs to be more consistent though.

Graves has an overrated shot. Sure it's over 100 mph, but the windup takes too long, allowing the goalie to set up, killing the advantage of a hard shot

Seems like he's scoring a goal almost every game, but it could just be that I'm noticing these updates when he does score. Either way, good to see improvement from him this year

He's definitely been playing well since the first few weeks came and went.

Good that some of the CHL players are starting to play better.

Huska stopped 40 of 43 shots today in a 4-0 loss. Wall stopped 14 of 15 shots in a 2-1 win.

Fontaine and Morrison had goals. Ronning had a goal and an assist. Gropp had an assist.

I really like Fontaine and Ronning, both look like really good late picks imo.

19 year old forwards playing in the CHL who are eligible for the AHL/ECHL next season that aren't averaging at least 1PPG are not prospects I'd consider to be good picks in most cases.

I like the Fontaine pick more than the Ronning pick because his game seems to be more about defense than offense and he has speed, but I don't think either pick was that good. They were late round picks, so teams miss on late round picks, but the offense they are putting up in the CHL this season isn't even close to what is usually produced from NHL players in their 19 year old CHL season.

I loathe your argument.

They are both progressing scoring wise and they have attributes i really like. Saying they're basically non prospects just because you haven't watched them play (?) and they are like 2 points below PPG is just awful.

I have watched them play. Neither stood out from what I watched either.

They are unlikely to make it to the NHL, basing it on their CHL stats. Some buck that trend, most don't.

I'm not anti-prospect, I just don't think those two in particular were two of our better picks. In the 2016 draft, I think Day, Gettinger and Wall were all better picks.

They are late round picks, they're suppose to be unlikely to make it to the NHL. I also think Day, Gettinger and Wall were better picks, i still like the Fontaine and Ronning picks tho.

Both Fontaine and Ronning have leadership qualities, too.

I will never expect him to do this at NHL level but this was indeed one helluva goal, even at junior level. That takes some skill (and luck)
