Really? Did not know that.

Imagine if we could still kill penalties - although it was a lot better last game.

Unbelievable the excuses people make for this guy, just when I thought I had heard it all.
3 months?? It wasn't three months...maybe 6 weeks...he was less than average...but our team was dog-crap, and there was a guy behind the bench, with funny shoes on, and a red curly wig...glad that show is over...obviously your guy Price is happy also!!

Why didn't he concede 3+ goals last night? I thought it was supposed to be a sure thing?

Starting him would be a "mistake", according to you. What happened?

And Price is a lock to give up 3 goals against the Sens as is.

Montoya will do just fine.

It's probably even less than that. Referring back to the NHL Game Logs on Dr. No's page as always, I think you'd have to be overly critical to include anything outside the Dec. 4-16th and Feb. 2-12th stretches... less than 4 weeks total. Everything left over is mostly green (varying standards of deviation above average) with the odd white (average) and pink (below average) smattered sparingly around, though one of them is the 7 goal game vs. Minny.

It's been a lot better for more than just last game. It's gotten way better since Julien took over.

We were 23rd on the PK with 79.4% when MT was fired. Ever since CJ took over, we moved up to 17th with 80.7% in a month's time.

And since February 18th (CJ's first game), we are 5th in the league with a 89.7% success rate.

Thanks to NHL.com's retooled stats page, I can confirm that 89.7% ties Detroit for 4th best over that stretch, actually.

It's where I did this calculation. Thanks for pointing this out because I missed that. Although Detroit accomplished it in one less game so this is why they have them 4th and us 5th.

Nevertheless, the PK has improved immensely. And our PK woes were really what was making Price look bad because as mentioned in an earlier post, his even strength numbers were at the top of the league. Having fixed the PK, we see the results in Price's stats in all situations, not just 5v5.

This is Vezina/Hart trophy calibre Carey Price right now folks.

He hasn't allowed more than 3 goals since February 12th vs Boston.

That was the last game before the Bye Week and before Therrien's firing and Julien's hiring.

Only 19 goals allowed in his last 12 starts.

It took awhile for our team to show difference under Julien. But our new coach fixed the PK within a game or two. Just shows how out to lunch Therrien really was. Every PK felt like a sure goal. Thank god that got fixed.

Paul Byron is definitely a good choice there. He's just got so much speed.
