Wieght and Sillinger gone...whos left.

With Dougy Wieght and Sillinger gone(didnt want them anyway), and Wieght going to a big conference rival, and our slump, it appears that a move with Primea and a following trade may need to happen quicker. Ottawa will surely be looking to get some one as they have very little depth. If we get samsonov it may be a defensive move while helping us at the same time. But i was curious is ther any one else that we could/should get...a scoring winger or goaltender??

tkachuk has more than this year on his contract if i recall, plus he makes 7.6 mill which makes him immovable, cujo would not be an upgrade on this team for two reasons $$ and the fact that he is a proven playoff flop

Flyers are inquiring about CuJo.

Tkachuk, I would love to have him on the team.

After that Phoenix-Edmonton game, I don't want any part of Cujo.

Why the hell would we want CuJo? CuJo needs a crappy defense in front of him that allow the opposition to slap him into form. I could see CuJo giving it his all to secure a Cup but he's just not the right player for the Flyers. Even less so if we've got to give up one of our core players.
Jeez, trade whatever the hell you like for Raycroft, he'd fit in really well behind our defence and is far from over. Toivonen/Thomas is looking like the future down in Beantown anyway, they're not sending Thomas down to get claimed. As much as I'd rather they keep Raycroft (being a B's fan too), he's not staying there long.

Unless you want to throw Frank in right away, which i'm still dubious about.

maybe they would take radio back for him... hmmmmm

that being said i think that clarkie just may make a move as retarted as say umberger for cujo.... ugh the thought of it....

that being said i would rather give up two of the 3 young centers for luongo then 1/3 pissing them away on cujo.... cant see it happening... at least i hope...

also ellison has been tearing up the AHL the last 2 weeks and might be getting a look if i recall he is a center and played in the NHL for the first 1/2 of the season with chicago so that might be a logical move along with one of our stacked picks for this year... if you ask me that is even too much for a aged mediocre goalie

Can't move an injured players, and seeing how Radio's out for the year the chances of a Cujo-Radio trade are slim to none.

He isn't out for the year, he is out 3-6 weeks, just until after the Olympic break.

Please. Not another year with "We should get CuJo." CuJo is terrible. CuJo has been terrible for quite some time. In fact, there is not a single thing that CuJo has ever done that should make people want him. What has he won? Nothing. He has never made the positive difference on any team he's ever been on. He has, however, made that negative difference (i.e. being swept by Anaheim).

Calling for Curtis Joseph gives me the same pain in my ear as "SHOOOOOOT!" does.

Doug Weight is a season-making deal. The Flyers have 4 2nds. The Canes traded their 1st and a bunch of junk. No reason the Flyers couldn't trade Ruzicka and 2 2nds for Weight

Salary? Doesn't he make like 5.6 mi? I doubt he would've fit if we didn't deal for Nedved.

However, Sillinger would have been a better aquisition than Nedved.

Mmm, I don't know about that. Mike Sillinger wouldn't be able to fill in at the #1 Center like Nedved can while Forsberg is on the shelf. I'd question how Sillinger would fit at the 2nd line Center on this team as well.

Haven't we gone through this a couple of times already? I don't think you can get a player back from the same team that he's traded to in the same season.

At least that's how it is in my fantasy league.

Cujo

Scratch off any Bruins, Ducks, or Wild, they are all in the hunt (you're dreaming if you think Rolston is available with the contract he just signed and tons of cap room for the Wild). Arnason is an unspactacular player. Nieuwendyk I'll gladly take. Nothing like a former Conn Smythe winner to go with the coach and captain of the that great Stars team.

Out of that list of guys... I would take:

Quote:
Keith Tkachuk - Not in a million years
Brian Rolston - Gladly, but Minny won't move him
Tyler Arnason - Not interested
Kyle Calder - Slightly interested
Mark Recchi - Not interested
Sergei Samsonov - B's likely not moving him now that they're hot again...
Gary Roberts - Gladly
Joe Nieuwendyk - 2nd choice to Roberts (maybe as a package?)
Jeff Halpern - Nah, plays the same role as Handzus
Teemu Selanne?? - I'd inquire, but I wouldn't part with TOO much to get him...
Jeremy Roenick - No thanks... it was good while it lasted, let's leave it at that.

Eric Wienrich - Meh, not really interested except to boot Ther-rible down the totem pole
Brian Leetch - B's not likely to move their best puck-moving blueliner
Brendan Witt - Gladly, depending on the asking price
Keith Carney - Definitely. Leadership, grit, playoff experience
Ruslan Salei - 2nd choice after Carney, sometimes gets into penalty trouble.

Cujo - No, I'd rather have Rolie than Curtis "Left Shoulder" Joseph

That is only true of players who were bought out, I'm not sure about trading though.

There used to be some rule like this in the old NHL, something to do with the waiver draft maybe? But as I understand it, it is well within the rules to re-acquire Roenick this season. I am willing to be corrected, though.

Sakic wouldn't be moving even if the Avs were in last place....
