Help Complete a Bos-Edm-Chi 3 way

I think Boston needs a 2nd line center who can be a set up man between Samsonov and Murray. He doesn't need to be great defensively as they have Green, Primeau and Bergeron who all play a 2 way game. I'd like to see Tyler Arnason come to Boston, and I know a lot of Chicago fans want him gone.

But of course Chi doesn't want Raycroft. So let's work on a 3 way.

EDM: Raycroft
BOS: Arnason
CHI: ??

What would Chi be looking for? What could EDM give? Would Boston have to add something to CHI?

I also think Boston would want more than Arnason for Raycroft.

Too much?!?!?! Raffi Torres would be by far the lowest player involved in that trade. The Oil would have to throw more than Torres into that pot if they wanted to take anything out. Take the homer glasses off.

Exactly, I think some of the boston fans really need to come to grips with the fact that Raycroft isnt gonna bring in the type of return that they are expecting. I would be very hesitant to trade Torres straight up for Raycroft.
Torres is the best player in that deal if thats how it shakes down as well. He scored 20 goals his first year, already has 17 now and plays a power game. I dont wanna trade him for a goalie who had ONE good year and is now struggling.

You honestly think Arnason is worth a lot more than Torres?

Nothing , But if Arnason is the best offer out there, The Bruins will keep Raycroft and hope he regain his old form. after all it's not like it's a salary dump because his salary isn't very big, so why trading him for garbage ? Torres is the lowest the Bruins can go, lower than that NO DEAL !

You are significantly overrating Torres. First of all, Aranason is outpointing Torres and has a better +\- despite playing on a bad team. I'm not saying he's better than Torres, but he's far closer than you are saying.

I think the value for Raycroft and Torres is about even, maybe leaning in the direction of Torres being worth slightly more.

I don't think Aranason's trade value is close to either player right now. Yeah, Aranason puts up points, but so does Ribiero and I don't think he has any trade value either.

Few here will agree with me but I think Reasoner would be a good center for those two, he has decent speed, has a lot of skill but doesn't show it because he plays with bad hockey players. Many in edmonton were saying they wanted Reasoner on the top lines and Horcoff on the bottom lines earlier in their careers. I know Reasoner would not be enough to get either Arnason or Raycroft but him and a defenseman should work. Just a thought.

I bet Boston could get Arnason for a couple of picks.

Doubtful. Hawks would need to get an offesive player in return if they moved him. They are already second to last in th eleague in scoring.

We dont need more mid round picks either, we already have more prospects than we can sign.

i dont see boston and the oilers matching up for a raycroft deal. seems both teams and fans of course overvalue their respective assets. like posted above raycroft is struggling and obviously has talent, he is young and doesnt make much money and meanwhile is losing his bargaining power and is not a free agent so he doesnt need to be moved for low value. dont see this trade happening the way everyone thinks for sure it is inevitable.

Ordinarily, I'd say that Reasoner would be a fine throw in on a trade package, but given that Boston and Chicago are both likely to miss the playoffs, and given Reasoner's contract status, I don't even think he'd be desirable from that perspective.

EDM would be better off shipping Reasoner to a contender for a mid-round pick. Maybe something like Reasoner to Buffalo or Ottawa for a 4th rounder.

Pretty much. Not sure why Chicago has to be involved.
