Is it just a coincidence that Lundqvist, Price, Schneider, Bishop etc are all having terrible years? Seems like Dubnyk and Bobrovsky are the only goalies not struggling this year.

scoring is up, and the way teams used to play defense has been figured out. Rangers and Penguins really laid a new mold for fast paced forwards and mobile defensemen.

League is changing fast and the type of defensemen that help you win are still a new commodity, that's why there aren't many of them.

Gorton would be all over this if that's the case. I too would take CJ over AV

Outside of Bob and Holtby, the goalies near the top didn't really play in the WC of Hockey. I wonder if the summer training of a lot of these guys didn't help them in the long term. Look at when Hank and Price have begun this downward play, about the same time.

It's strange to say the least.

Oakland Raiders submitted their application to move to Vegas.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out with the Golden Knights.

Structure up and down the ice. Plays physical yet skilled. Elite coach. Our offense will likely go down, but out overall game will improve.

These players were **** but on our team around the time of my divorce and they helped me through it

That's the power of sports. It might "only be a game" in the grand scheme of things, but it plays a pretty big role in most of our lives. The Rangers have always been something I could kinda call my own ya know? Something that's always there for me. Hockey and the Rangers have always been a security blanket of sorts, regardless how they're playing (well, sometimes ).

McCabe LOL. Rangers trade deadline legend.

I know how you feel though. The 2013 lockout season was a weird time for me and that team we had wasn't very good but they were always there.

Staal would be worth keeping around under CJ.

I'd take just about anyone over AV and as you said, CJ would be a massive upgrade.

that's a good point. It'd help to not have such uselessness in the $5.7M invested in him

Everyone taking solace in all of our tradeaways doing terribly. Callahan is a 3rd liner getting paid $6M for 30 games a season. Duclair is now in the minors after struggling immensely.

Yep. If you can't stay in the Arizona line-up and have to play in Tuscon...you've got problems.

I don't think Duclair would be anywhere near this bad if he was still here, but who knows.

At this point, it does seem that we made the right decision in keeping Buch over Duclair.

I look forward to the day he's called back up to the NHL and scores a goal and the Yandle trade turns back from a win to a loss.

Are these 100 years commercials narrated by Kelsey Grammer?

No, I believe it's the same guy who used to narrate the 24/7 series lead ups to the Winter Classic Liev Schreiber. Schreiber is also the same guy who does the NFL Hardknocks series on HBO. I can see why you would have thought Grammer tho as there is kind of a similarity in voices.

Not sure when but the Hurricanes are making the playoffs and that day is drawing near. Not sure if it's this year but I can definitely see them making the dance next season. They have alot of interesting young talented players like Aho,Lindholm,Skinner, ,Rask to go with vets like JStaal, Stempniak and they have some young studly Dmen like Faulk and Hanifin. Goaltending is their only real question mark tho if Ward continues this renaissance year of his going forward, they might just be OK in net. Their coach Peters really impresses me as well as they have a very entertaining yet responsible way of playing.

I don't know boys but if we think the Metro is nasty this year...wait till next year when Carolina truly joins the fray as other the Devils and islanders rest of division including Canes looks evil and looks like it probably will be even tougher.
