This wasn't a vintage Henrik game..but it was an excellent rebound performance. Great game. Still looked shaky on some easy saves but he made them.

He got better as the game went along. It's a good sign needs to keep playing and playing a lot. I don't think he's been playing enough games frankly.

He's only started 33 games all year. He should be playing 60 quite frankly. With 36 left 27 28 games of those at least. I don't believe AV is correct in trying to keep his games down to 50 to 55 that's just too little

Can't fault Hank on either of the goals against tonight. They were defensive breakdowns. Would we have liked him to make huge saves on those goals? Of course....but any save on those goals would have been very difficult.

No goals from outside or through the 5 hole. If Hank can continue to play like this...only giving up high danger chances like tonight ... things will turn around for us. We'll outscore the opposition more often than not.

Yes, i agree. In a perfect world where his game didn't have fallen off a cliff this season, this would have been just another normal game from Hank but given the mental pressure that was on him and the way he managed to pull through and not fold after the 1st goal he was indeed the 1st star.

Now hopefully he can build on this.

I'll celebrate if he can manage to string together four performances. It's a start, however.

One win from 20.

Wonder if he can hit 30 again.

No goalie gets 30 win seasons like Henrik does, but this year might be tough.

Tonight will be a good test for Henrik. Back-to-back good performances. Now the Kings.

Kings take a lot of shot attempts, and the Rangers give up a lot of shot attempts. On paper, tonight's game is a recipe for disaster, especially if the offense sputters again like it did against Detroit (bad ice, yeah yeah yeah).

One thing to keep in mind is that Henrik's #s are better in games where he faces a lot of shots vs games where he does not. There are a lot of factors in play with this analysis like: He's likely to face less shots in games he gets pulled or relieves the starter, and these games are more often than not bad games (duh). The more shots he faces, the less randomness that occurs and his "true sv%" is shown.

Rangers win tonight and Hank has a solid game, I'm ready to commit to him being back.

Getting tested early, and 'feeling' the puck is important for a goaltender. A large volume of shots also keeps him mentally engaged in the game and not wandering off while play is happening 200 feet away.

Most every goalie would rather face more shots than less in a game.

While that's true, and though I have always claimed Brodeur a product of system, he was unreal in being able to keep his mentality in a low action game.

Another steal by hank.

3rd straight excellent game. Close it out with a win over the Flyers and then rest up a couple of games.

Great game by Henrik. It's a shame he gave up the last minute goal but he had some awesome saves, especially early on.

A good game again by Lundqvist. The defense was more than solid. Happy with the win against the Kings

Solid? They collapsed like mad and gave up a million shot attempts, that's not solid.

Did you also see the type of shots they gave up? Most from boards. Low danger shots.
