I can't read Haggerty. And by that I mean that even when I decide to give him a decidedly unearned click, I actually cannot read him. Basically, his words are one step above illegible gibberish.

Yes, I am sick of him stealing from here and other beat writers to write articles like this.

WKAF 97.7 transitioned from a secondary carrier of WAAF to an R&B channel as of the 1st of the year.

My car presets were very confused.

I was sick of Haggerty years ago. He is to sports writers what Steigerwald is to TV analysis -- a complete blowhard who doesn't have a clue and adds nothing of value to sports media/journalism.

And yet CSNNE recently fired Sean McAdam

First time in a year I sat through 10 mins of Minjihane and Callahan-awful- followed by an hour of the even worse SportsHub. That's talent?

No doubt in my mind that the best morning sports talk in the Boston market is when the morning hosts are on vacation.

I agree.

While I gave up on Dennis and Callahan about 15 year ago, I can't listen to Toucher and Rich either. When they are out, the show is much better.

Yea they're both pretty terrible. With Minihane and Callahan you get to listen to Trump fellating/liberal hating with a touch of sports talk, then on Toucher and Rich you just get a typical dopy Morning Zoo type radio show. Maybe we'll see a shakeup in this regard with the buy out.

If I were EEI, I'd drop Dale from the afternoon show and go with Holly and Keefe alone. They have decent chemistry on air, but Dale feels like their 70 year old uncle is hanging out with them...

I don't know about dropping Dale but I agree you can tell there was an immediate chemistry between Holly and Keefe. Minihane mentioned that in his podcast with Holley and said Dale is starting to come across as the odd man out.

Yes please. Keefe is my favorite guy on Boston radio, he completely owned the Adam Jones show

I'll have to give that show another listen.

Come next season you will see at least one of the teams move from 98.5 to 93.7 to prevent overlap but otherwise things should stay the same as both stations bill well.

The station that will be hurt the most is WBZ-AM which does all news during the day and no longer will have Channel 4 to fall back on.

Based on what? Do you have a source for this? This disagrees with you http://dirtywatermedia.com/98-5-the-...the-same-team/

Donnie - Jason Wolfe said the same thing I did.

As for all of the play by play broadcasts, I would expect that there’ll be a conversation with the Celtics about a move back to 93.7, eliminating many of the conflicts that currently exist with the Bruins. This would also allow WZLX to maintain format at night where its numbers are strong. The Red Sox deal won’t be affected and neither will the Patriots. And the company can still use 850 AM as an alternative outlet for BC sports, the Revolution and national sports play by play that conflicts with a local broadcast.

I'm 180 degrees from you.

The fact that Keefe gets paid to speak is one of life's great mysteries.

One ownership company as of the other day and two sports radio stations. What will give?

Wow. To me that show is much better without him. I'm not sure I've ever heard him get through a complete sentence.

You found one.

I dislike the fact that he doesn't get to callers for the fist 20 minutes at least, but I like his show because he actually talks about sports.

Too many talks show hosts these days like to talk about other talk show hosts, or worse, about themselves. It's so tedious.

P.S. Adam Jones also happens to be on at a time when I'm usually driving, which is when I listen to sports radio.

He was the only reason to listen to Adam Jones' show. Since he's left it's beyond painful. I don't understand why anyone would give that guy his own show...
