Non-game related, but...

What's your take on the idiot that skates around with that flag before the game? Is that about as lame as it gets? Oh, wait, MUTAYTOR... THAT'S about as lame as it gets. But, getting back to the flag... WHAT IS THE POINT?

Yeah, I don't like that kid either....and he's a bad skater, which makes it even worse.

I fear the guy is going to pull a wildwing and take a spill around one of the corners. I guess he can't catch on fire, but still. Why can't that guy get injured?

Wouldn't it be funny if he did catch fire?

With no flames around. He just trips and wipes out into the corner and a few seconds later, combusts.

I pray for a wipeout everytime. It would be highly entertaining.

1. Yes, he's a bad skater.
2. Personally, I'm indifferent (I'm irritated by the anthem to much greater degree).
3. I've sat in all levels at Stalples this season, and from my observations most people seem to enjoy it.

While we are on the off topic of pregame shenanigans.... Does anyone else get sick of the anthem singers who want to put their personal spin on the song? The best of the worst so far this year is the one who does the knee bends/butt wiggles during the anthem.. Just sing the song and get on with it.

Wouldn't you rather debate something meaningful?

You mean the anthem isn't an American Idol audition?

It's all about the buffalo stance and finger wiggle salute thing. That phantom of the opera guy is a head ache. I bet he can break glass.

not really... non-playoff teams need to have fans defer attention from the fact that their team is sinking below sea level...

I say they finish in double digits in the conference, you?

You mean double digits in the conference????

Because it would be hard to finish 10th in a 5 team division.

yup..... I'll correct that I was too busy watching Ilya Bryzgalov streak by Matt Ryan in the Southern California scoring race

What the heck is this hockey talk crap? This is everything "non-game related".

What do you think of the drummers?

The fact that they got a name, does indeed proclaim suckness.

OK, fine. I like the flag guy. I like the drummers too. No, they're not talented, but they get me pumped up for the game. Maybe I just have a very low entertainment threshold.

I think we'll get it together and make the playoffs, but not as a high seed. 5-8, probably.

i'll bite...

every game, i see the flag guy and roll my eyes in disgust. it is retarded far beyond chromosomes. yet, my sweetheart reminds me everytime that it is designed for the new fan, and the kids in the arena. she even suggested that i look at it from the point of view of being at my first hockey game, then asks how would that make me feel?

i get it... but, meh.

i'll admit that i liked MUTAYTOR for about 8 seconds into their first "performance" this season. i thought... cool, kinda brings in a soccer vibe. but that's just it... it never went past "kinda" bringing in a soccer vibe. i mean if this were soccer, someone would've murdered Nathan Dempsey months ago.

again, GO AWAY!

by the way... is it me, or is Staples Center THE most aurally un-appealing arena in the wide wide world of sports? swear to god, there's like a giant sock over the whole place.

I don't know what aurally means , but staples center would look better with Kings Stanley Cup Champs banners.
