I like Ward at Center

i was at tonights game and jason ward looked pretty comfortable at center. he won 6 out of 7 faceoffs (86 percent). i think we should keep him there til Betts comes back.

p.s Rangers were 66 percent on draws tonight

I think its time for prucha to be put on the first line. Think about it. Jagr gets double and triple teamed all the time, leaving a lot of room to work with. And who strives with all that room? Prucha.

Keep in mind that this was against the Pens. Imo, if Ward plays center against the Flyers, 'Sens or 'Leafs, the results will be disastrous.

I've never thought of Ward as having great vision or playmaking abilities, but he's proven me wrong before. Is this just an experiment or has Ward played center before?

Spent alot of time at Center last year in the AHL.

Yeah, he looked good, but the kneejerk reactions in here are at fever pitch.....lets wait a few games instead of making declarations after one game against a lower level team.

PITT is...

the second worst faceoff team in the leage, hovering around 46.6%. That does help a bit.

good test would be putting Ward at Center against Philly on saturday...I honestly think that he can handle it. Also, as you guys pointed out, he has better vision than expected...I like him at center a lot...he keeps his feet going, forechecks well, wins faceoffs, and can create some plays!
