He's good. This thread isn't necessary, though.

Tell me?

Would eichel be top five in scoring right now if he didn't get hurt? You know the kid who's 20 that many said just a week ago is simply not good enough despite producing over a hundred shots on goal, 11 goals 20 points in just 25 games this season. His second season and coming off a horrible injury that depletes ones game significantly.

How many guys could be compared to Connor mcdavid, put up over 50 pts in their rookie season on then the worst team offensively and in the standings and still NOT be nominated for the Calder.

Completely forgotten about due to injury at the beginning of the year.

All I see about Eichel is how he isn't in the same league as Matthews and now even marner.

What else does he have to do?

EIchel dominates. Period.

EIchel is elite.

Sabres without eichel are the worst offensive team in the league three years in a row.

With him there top 6 on the power play moved up five spots in offense and are coollectively as a team 46-44.

12-9 this year.

Those numbers while not amazing are extremely good why?

Because before that without EIchel the Sabres won just 43 games.....in the past two seasons combined .....yes in over 160 games.
That OT goal sure got you fired up

The thread was made before that happened. Though I agree that I don't think this was necessary.

Eichel and Matthews are going to be the top 6 centers USA hockey has been missing. I'm happy enough for that. I don't think he's underrated I think some people groan because he's developing at a different pace

No, the premise of that thread was that he hasn't been good enough.

You can't seriously think that means anything?

Whoosh. You totally missed the point, I see. He claimed my post was fueled by Leafs bias, and I pointed out that I've been saying the same thing since before Matthews was a Leaf or Eichel was a Sabre. So yes, we are done.

No, YOU totally missed the point. My post was in reference to something posted in another thread a few days ago. I could care less what you said about Matthews before he was a Leaf.

Pretty sure that all teams make a road trip to Edmonton.

Perfectly rated. He's a hell of a player. 2 goals tonight, the OT winner was a beauty!

They have? All I hear about is how Eichel stinks and isn't even close to Matthews or Marner.

Only on HF you see "Jack Eichel just isn't good enough", and "Jack Eichel the most underrated player in the world" threads posted in 1 month

The potential is there, but currently he only shows he can dominate in spurts and those spurts are rare. When he gets to the level where he is scary every time he steps on the ice like Crosby, Malkin, AO, or McJesus, then you can throw around the E word.

Considering the hype and the "omg he's ultra generational I LOVE EICH" comments from a while ago, he's been kind of disappointing. Doesn't mean that he is a bust or that he can't be a 1C in the league so I really don't see the problem here.

Just curious why you think that? Can the same not be said about Auston Matthews?

He's very good. Still has things to prove before putting him in the "elite" company.

If you want, just go start a Matthews thread. No need to keep talking about him here.
