Quotable:

"They said they were happy with our team (and it's) just that we have to play the way we're capable. Everyone just needs to contribute and do their part. It's nice to see them come down every once in a while. It's not a big, huge deal but obviously it's good to know they care." - Dustin Brown on Leiweke and Hunter's visit with the team yesterday

"We need to start giving some of our guys a kick in the (butt). There are players in this locker room who have to be accountable to the guys sitting next to them, and in the last couple games that hasn't been there." - Jeremy Roenick on the Kings' recent slump

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Injury Update:

  • After getting a puck to the jaw during Monday's game against the Ducks, Mattias Norstrom had to undergo oral surgery. He lost a tooth, had four teeth straightened and his jaw wired. Norstrom is expected to play tonight.
  • Tim Gleason (left knee injury) is also expected to return tonight.
  • Jeremy Roenick (broken finger) has been cleared to play.

I'm saying JR has a multi-point night and the Kings score a much-needed win that will be the first in a streak of wins leading them into the break.

Let's hope everyone is rested enough to put a 100% effort in pulling their heads out of their butts.

And please have a respectable special teams.

And win.

Ick! These #'s are worse than I thought. With that being said, a win tonight might actually result in some positive posts here. It is just as dreary as the Kings play here in here. Makes me doubly depressed.

A little trivia to cheer ddbourn up: "In five contests between the Kings and Coyotes this season, the home team has won every game, and Los Angeles has only two victories in the last 10 meetings at Phoenix."

I hate to say it, but this is a MUST WIN game tonight for the Kings. Hopefully having Gleason and Roenick back will spark them.

The most scary thing about tonight is the Phoenix PP. I hate when they run that stupid little backdoor play and get a goal, that's just terrible penalty killing and it happens everytime they play the Kings.

The Kings have needed a goaltender with numbers as "crappy" as CuJo's for over a decade...

Statistically, Demitra has been quiet in his 2 games back, but I haven't seen either game. Is he back at 100%, or did he come back early to try and jumpstart the team?

Let's just say he's looked like he's missed a lot of time.

Are meth-induced hallucinations considered "visions" nowadays?

Hey what I do on my own time is none of your business! Hold on a severed head resembling Richard Karn has just floated in through my window.

I have a feeling that JR will be invisible tonight... same with Frolov. Andy Murray will be totally invisible, too. In fact, the entire Kings team will be invisible... same with the Yotes and Gretzky.

Roenick will be on a line with Conroy and Demitra.

Look for three HEALTHY scratches to be announced right before game time.
