It isn't hard finding comparables for the guy but Steen is one. Even if I up his salary 1 million a year I think we are going to be

Assuming the cap doesn't go lower and that might be a big assumption

We keep holding onto players that end up being an issue later on
-We hold onto ladd too long
-We sign buff to a bigger contract
-We're holding onto Myers who's off and on because of injuries
-we hold onto Pavelec and send him to the ahl to only recall him back lol
-We sign Matty p to a thick contract

Are you holding on to little or selling?

Your running a massive risk that A) you can make the playoffs and convince him to resign

B) you can afford to resign him in the first place.

You either have to extend little this season or make damn sure your going deep next year and have little resigning to a sweet heart deal.

Otherwise your totally ****ed and you just burnt all the value you might have got from a legitimate first line center

**** or get off the pot. Compete this year, contend the next two or three, or move little, wheeler, buff, and Enstrom for value that's going to help.

This isn't a complicated or difficult equation

If your not competing for another two years, move assets that will have diminished value by then now for assets that will be prime value at that time
-I've already said we should trade wheeler...
-I said we should've traded buff years ago...
-Toby enstrom has no trade value. He costs too much and he's regressing
Why do you keep bringing him up? He's not the issue or will be a huge loss if he doesn't resign(tho I think he signs for less and retires here)

Just resign little. He's not gonna cost us a lot. Don't know why you keep calling it a "sweet heart deal". Whatever he asks for he's worth it. Little should ah be value for the next 3 seasons. He's not an issue unless you lose him for nothing.

I'm not in a rush to get rid of anyone just yet except coaching. Wait til we know where we're picking from.

We're not a legitimate playoff team right now til defense and goaltending gets sorted out. We get lucky if we make it

Why not keep Perreault there then? That's basically what his salary is

Could have kept Perrault but I dropped him early on to see where the Salary was going to be after giving Little and Lowry bumps. I also handed out money to Trouba and the other RFAs that I though might be around.

So I just gave Copp the Perrault money

Copp and Lowry should take up $3M - $3.5M as a combined total. $4.1M for Copp would be one of the worst contracts in the league.

replacing Enstrom with Logan Stanley is probably not going to be good for playoff chances.

Well losing to the worst team in the league on a 9 game losing streak is a lot of fuel to add to the tank.

Embarrassing.

Shame on me for parking the tank

The Jets are in 27th place after the loss. The L shouldn't be shocking or notably embarrassing.

I'm the opposite. I hate watching them lose when they've played a really good game. As a corollary, I also hate seeing them win when they've played like crap but the other team played even crappier. But I love games like this. I want to see more of these before we hit our break week. They give me hope that players I want to see gone will be flying out of here right and left at the TD. They give me hope that coaches will soon be standing at the side of the road, trying to hail a cab. In a bad neighbourhood. They give me hope that Chipman will have a fit of pique during a game, and start hurling objects out of the press box. If those objects happen to look like this, I think I would be good with that.

I'm happy with one Patrik thank you very much.

We already have two Connors.

But if any player we need from the draft at most, it's Liljegren. Otherwise, we don't need anymore forwards.

Some teams need to go on a run an put some separation. It's too stressful following the tank and going from 3rd last to 10th last based on 1 or 2 wins All 3 games tonight have tank implications.

Some great tank results tonight.

Blues win.
Isles win.
Devils win.

Only thing that could have made this night better is if Sabres had managed to get a loser point

I still don't want to lose, but we're going to get our ***** handed to us tomorrow. Twice if Pavelec is starting.

The combo of PoMo's horrible coaching + Pav's incredible inabilities = super high octane tank machine.
