The INSIDE HOCKEY Radio Show hits the road this Saturday, February 4th, as we will be broadcasting live from Montreal at 1221 The Crescent St. Pub. This week, we will again be on from 4:50-6:50 PM, and as always, we can be heard on AM 1510 The Zone, Sporting News Radio in Boston and online at http://www.1510thezone.com.
With the Bruins and Candiens playing a noon matinee three blocks away at the Bell Centre, The INSIDE HOCKEY Radio Show will be a great post-game spot if you’re attending the game. But even if you won't be at the game, you should still come by, because we’ll have a great line-up of guests and plenty of prizes and beer specials.
Injured Bruins goalie Hannu Toivonen will be our first guest. Hannu will be calling in from Boston to update us on his comeback from a sprained ankle suffered back on January 5th. Up to that point, Hannu had solidified the starting goaltender’s job, but now with the rise of Tim Thomas and a healthy Andrew Raycroft back in the fold, what will happen when Hannu returns? We’ll try to figure out that and when he might be returning between the pipes for the Buins.
Hall Of Fame hockey writer Russ Conway will join us once again to give his take on the Bruins, the Bruins-Habs rivalry and the state of the NHL. With his lengthy career covering the Bruins and the NHL, Russ is sure to have a few good stories on one of pro sports’ fiercest rivalries.
Dan Dube, who does play-by-play for radio broadcasts of Canadiens games on 730 AM CKAC in Montreal, will chime in on the rivalry too, and he'll give us some insight on the struggling Jose Theodore and whether there is any validity to the constant trade rumors swirling around the one-time Vezina and Hart trophy winner.
Finally we’ll bring you another great edition of “The Golden Years” with INSIDE HOCKEY columnist Mike Wyman. This week, Mike takes a look back on the storied rivalry between the Habs and Bruins. We’re also pleased that Mike will be joining us in person at the show.
So if you’re looking for a post-game destination after the Bruins-Habs game Saturday, join hosts Kevin Greenstein and James Murphy and GET INSIDE with The INSIDE HOCKEY Radio Show, live from 4:50-6:50 PM at 1221 “The Crescent St. Pub” located at, of course, 1221 Crescent St. in Montreal! If you can’t make it in person, tune in on AM 1510 The Zone or online at http://www.1510thezone.com.
