So upon reflection, Bruins fans ok with picking McAvoy instead of Fabbro?

Like that McAvoy is trying to be physical but he's lucky at this point to only have two minors on him.

In a game where the bodies are flying and tempers may flare, Esposito will need to be careful. He has had a tendency over the years to get caught up in it.

Oettinger looks really good tonight. This game features probably the best freshman at each position in Keller (forward), Fox (d), and Oettinger (g).

Huge minute of 5 on 3 to open third.

Totally 100%

Friday I went to Lowell to watch him and although he didn't have a great game I love love love his involvement

He was often great in the WJC

I know one thing he can play for my team

I really liked the pick..I have seen Fabbro play in Penticton probably 25 times but liked what McAvoy could do...Different players tho

Shots are 38-10 for Harvard with 16+ left in the 3rd. It doesn't seem like Harvard is outplaying them that badly.

Love the physicality of McAvoy. Skates very well. Didn't like his last penalty.

I've also been impressed with Donato so far. He's had a couple of decent dangles.

You guys have to remember McAvoy JUST turned 19

The Harvard first line are seniors 22,23

Messier's nephew Luke Esposito is over 4 years older than McAvoy

Folks he's a baby in his hockey life

He's got serious skills plays physical and is a leader

If anyone here flips on him for 2 aggressive penalties that's insane

BU's first PP unit has Keller, Greenway, JFK, MvAvoy and Krys. Crazy good. Reminds me of when I would head into Walter Brown arena when BU had a first line of Tkachuk, Amonte and McEachern. Those BU/Maine games were awesome.

Yea any criticism I have of McAvoy isn't damning...I think he is still an amazing prospect.

But I see a project...I don't see a Drew Doughty level, but I see potential for him to be a very very good player. Bruins do need him in the Top 4 D ASAP but to me McAvoy doesnt look ready...as in next season, hope I'm wrong (like Carlo).

Again...this is only the 6th game I've seen him play this season..very limited viewings so all this is with a huge disclaimer.

I just wish I was a little more impressed with him in the games I've seen, like I said, I wanna love him as much as everyone here raves about him and hopefully I will.

Loved his play at world juniors too and LOVE how physical he is.

I hope I am very very wrong and he becomes BETTER Doughty

and yea...would totally take him over Fabbro..easily just on skillset alone.

Just trying to taper my expectations for him a little cause to me he still looks like a bit of a project...which is what he should look like given his age.

Agree. And he's huge. 6'7", 220. People are going to hate this, but he kind of reminds me of Hal Gill, but a more fluid skater.

For the first time since 1993 a team other than BU or BC will win the beans and that team is Harvard.

oops - hold your tickets

Donato looks poised, heady, and sees the ice well. A player with that ability to "slow the game" down, So to speak.

Stylistically, a little like John Tavares?

Make that 5-3. Keller gets BU back into it.
