To make up for Laine's defensive shortcomings, or guarantee that Laine doesn't get any more points this year?

You're saying that like there's something wrong with nasty which we call just love for metal, dark rye bread which is admittedly not so good (why I personally prefer wheat and barley bread) but finally, naked sauna flailing is absolutely good for everyone, young or old. You must do more head-first examinations and explorations into snowbanks headfirst to come into more advanced conclusions, Sir.

Now there's something that makes it look like he's avoiding those situations. Might be something else, but that's what it looks like.
Thinking about this, he may have been told to go out and play his game and not to go out of his way to do any body checking. Not only has he had a concussion, but he is also 18 and has arms and legs the size of toothpicks. I think it would be irresponsible for coaches to tell him to go out there and be overly aggressive. It's not his game. I think that will come as he grows into that height, but for now just learn the game.

That's what this season is for apparently.

Well actually, playing physical IS Laine's game. Or has been for years, at least. And in Liiga he was known for being rather good in puck battles along the boards. Of course, Liiga's much weaker when it comes to that than NHL.

He was definitely physical before, in fact he hit McCabe really hard in the corner earlier in that game. That was a revenge hit by McCabe of sorts. He should play smart physical, no point in taking chances. He came back really early from that concussion, so it wouldn't surprise me if his game is off and he is shying away from physical stuff.

Hard not to when you're as big as he is. I'm sure his physicality will grow as he gets more comfortable in the league

I would seriously give my left arm to shoot the puck around with those guys haha. Maybe not the whole arm just the use of it for awhile. Not giving up the right arm for obvious reasons.

That would be spectacular. Pretty cool souvenir for the little guy, bet he doesn't forget that in a hurry.

Laine feasted on Dallas defence. Looked like he had swagger again, haven't seen that since before the injury

1. Some Finns like me still remember he's an LW.. and shout from their caves: Pretty good NHL start in his off wing @ 18.

2. Also on this important topic about (dark) rye bread, it's absolute beast and best bread there is. I call other types of bread "bun", personally.

3. He keeps being just 18, and we're so far in to the season.. How many rookies even scored three hatties? Probably the list has only legends and Laine.. And how many scored 3 hatties before turning 19?
