I am boycotting the Habs

This is the hardest thing I've done...It hurts me so...

But have officially started boycotting the Habs (on TV and Live). I just can't stand the pain and disappontment anymore...

I know that I wont be missed and that the Habs will keep selling out games without me...

But this is what I feel I must do in order to function as a human being...

I'm still going to visit the Boards because I love hockey...

cheers

k

I guess the people who criticize are either hard as stone or just have nothing better to do on game nights...

I am just sick of watching uninterested players for 3 hours 3-4 times a night...

That's your call. But just be reminded, you're not the only fan who is disappointed.

But think of this......

Why not, be a true fan, and live through these days of uncertainty, of mediocrity, instead of just giving up? That would make any future Hab succsess that much sweeter, cuz you stuck with them, and the other fans, thru the hard times.

Just think about it.....

I am not forsaking the Habs...I'm just not watching the games because I know what to expect: a lazy performance...

I am and will always be a Hab fan...

The fact that I am spending time on the Habs boards proves how much I am worried and concerned with the Habs future.

You'll be ridiculed when they start winning again.

Through the thick and thin, mate, through the thick and thin. God knows the habs will see worse days in the future, and we as loyal fans must stick by them, there will be better days as well (perhaps a cup in the horizon who knows). But hey God is dead so anything can happen.

Very immature perspective.

Not only are you not a Habs fan but you are not a hockey fan either. I could not bare to miss a Habs game just because I love the sport and what better way to enjoy it than to watch my favorite team regardless of the outcome.

Good riddance...

easy there guys! You bash a guy that decides to boycott the habs? It's his right and he's not immature for doing so. You guys are hardcore habs fans, but you also have to understand that the montreal canadiens have to do something to deserve a such fan base. Right now, we've been in a rebuilding process for 10 years. What have they done to deserve us? Seriously???

Mcphee, I know you're a lot older than me and you're a respected guy, but you're comment was classless and uneducated. The guy can boycott the habs if he wants to and what tells you he has a friggin easy life??? You know, sometimes I can't stand this team anymore, though I don't boycott them. And my life is far from easy, in fact, last week I almost died in atrocious pain, this summer too and I'm 20 years old, I'm so sick that I weighted 100 pounds this summer, I had my colon removed and I will have my galdbladder removed. This summer I had a terrible infection on top of it.. etc but I'm gonna stop here because I'm not gonna complain, I will feel good once again soon and I'll go back to school and go back pumping some iron into a gym sooner than later.

1st off, I'm glad you're doing better, but I think you prove my point. I've hard a relatively charmed life when I look at some others, yourself included. I've had to do some difficult things, but am aware that many around me have faced worse.

Hockey can bring a lot of joy to you, it can aggravate you, it can unite people, but if the hardest thing you've ever had to do is stop watching a team play, you've been pretty lucky.

Of course it's his right to boycott, insult, ridicule Nos Glorieux. The dramatic tone of the phrase that I quoted seemed over the top and silly, so I posted in accordance. Sometimes I like to poke fun when we seem to mix this stuff with really important things. Sometimes I poke fun at myself.

I'm sorry if this bothers you, but I don't take anything back, I think the hardest thing I've ver had to do comment just begged for a reaction.

You people have totally missed Klaudius' point.

It is out of love that he's boycotting...

I know Klaudius and he's no bandwagon jumper... People can be so immature! This is a guy that has just admitted, to a whole bunch of crazy Hab fans, that it has become painful for him to watch the Habs.

How is that immature..

It has become painful for me to watch as well.

I see this like someone who's old pet is withering away, he loves that damn dog, but can't bare to see it live in pain!

Tis the life of being a sports fan. If you can't take the losing seasons then don't bother being a fan. I'm sure he would be right up there screaming from the rooftops GO HABS GO when they are in the playoffs. But when they are struggling...we get this.

The hardest thing I've had to do lately is wear my habs hat every day, where ever I go.

But mind you I still wear it with pride

No I'm telling you, he's still screaming Go Habs Go from the rooftops, he's still a Habs fan!!!!

He just can't bear watching the games! He's taken an oath to only hear the scores at night after the games, until the Habs win two in a row.

I once wore a French Marquis outfit to my wife's store and that was pretty tough.

All that hat wearing can't be doing much for your hair.
