Bylsma was clearly hired to be interim/fired. which i also think was an odd decision.
but pooching Murray...not sure if i blame him for anything.
he likely won the Kane trade (debatable).
He has some good pieces.

i wonder who's out there?

*edit* i wonder if Murray was pooched by discussing the possibility of trading Eichel with team ownership?

maybe going for the lombardi/sutter combo...

only thing I could see on murray is he wouldn't budge on canning bylsma (which would be odd). sabres need a bit of help on the back end, but their biggest problem imo was just a system/tactics that wasn't conducive to success, and that's on the coach. Murray has acquired some good pieces in a relatively short time.

More than a bit of help, their blueline is awful.

They'd really benefit from a coach that could teach Ristolainen how to play hockey at even strength.

That's alot of money you have to pay to two people to potentially not work for the next few years.

I dunno, I know Byslma gets alot of hate and people didn't think Buffalo played well this year (and they didn't) but I don't get the expectations some people had for this team. They don't have a great roster. Some nice pieces for sure, but the rest doesn't blow anyone away. I'm not sure why people (I guess Buffalo fans mostly) were shocked where they finished.

Pegula and Aquilini are the craziest owners in the League.......It use to be Daryl Katz but he went and hired Nicholson and who cleaned up most of his mess.

and Florida and Arizona as per HannuJ's post (LOfreakinL)

think that's most teams' stories. it's not Jets' specific.
look at St Louis right now vs regular season

Some owners will burn the house down because a wasp flew in. Ours sits in his comfy chair and watches it build a nest in his living room. Either way, I don't think I want to live in that house.

I will lose my **** if we sign Elliott to a one year deal because it feels like such a Chevy move.

Anaheim is really really good at drafting and developing Dmen. Anyone have insight into how they do it?

Tim hasn't really done well enough in that regard, I guess. He was a very aggressive GM, and his good moves had a more positive outcome on the team than the negative ones. The defense is still *****, but the goaltending and forwards were quite good. Bylsma had to go, but Tim didn't need to be fired.

I'm sure Chevy has a cunning plan.
