Do you mean the QF game? I mean the shots were 57-16, what exactly is Price supposed to do?

HFboards ******** on the Habs again...

Earlier this year Habs were only Price, now Price is overrated.

I'll tell you something you don't have to believe. Price just got a baby and cares less about hockey right now. Sucks cause he's still paid the same he was the past years, but it is what it is. He'll come back to himself at some point, hopefully before the playoffs.

Go read all the Vancouver threads back in 2010-2012. They were talking like he will be a for sure HHOF goalie with multiple cup wins and he was the answer in Vancouver.

To be clear, my argument is Luongo is overrated on an Elite HHOF goalie who can win cups at will.

Price playoffs - 23 wins in 53 games, 2.61 gaa, .912 sv%, 5 so, 2nd round.
Luonga po - 34 wins 70 games, 2.49 gaa, .918 sv% 5 so, game 7 of finals.

Stop the puck? Luongo stopped 34/36 shots in the gold medal game and he was considered shaky?

I don't think thats true. Any player is considered overrated when being compared to the top 3 players to ever play the position but it seems like you're the only one thats making that comparison.

anything that has to do with team Canada needs an asterisk next to it when looking at a players career. Should be seen as a negative thing or participation trophy.

Luongo won an olympic gold medal game too. Outplayed brodure, and was undefeted, in 2010.

Carey Price - One great year and the Canadian media anoints him the best player in the game.

I am interested to hear why you think Seguin is overrated.

But Risto is probably one of the first that would come to mind for me also.

Shea Weber. I have never seen a guy who's reputation is so different to his performance on the ice. You listen to dinosaurs and you think that this guy is like Pronger 2.0. You watch the games, and you have a hard time noticing him much, if at all.

He may be overrated now, while still good. But 2-5 years ago he was a legit top 5 defenseman.

If Matthews could learn to hit the net half the time (he's missed atleast 20 near open net chances this season from pretty much right infront of the crease, not to mention the insane amount of posts he's hit) then we would be talking about a rookie leading the NHL in goals right now and probably top 3 or 4 in points. He also goes through stretches where he looks physically and mentally exhausted (pretty normal for a rookie). I don't see Eichel as much, but he seems to have less drive and hockey sense overall from my viewings, but physically he is even more gifted. Both have been possibly slightly overrated, but at the same time both could very well become top 5 forwards within a few years. Marner is better than both right now, not even a question.

Is this 2009?

I don't know anyone that rates him as anything other than a pylon.

Doesnt matter how you try to twist it... or focus on his 5 olympic games. He is, and will be proven, to be very overrated.

Until that last line I actually took you seriously.

So apparently Mitch Marner is the answer.
