Moot thought but Stepan and Zibby would be great together.

Will continue to say it but this team has to much skill up front that if they get good goaltending they're going to score 3 plus goals on most nights and that's going to be enough to win most games. All those weapons you then have a rookie pull that move off late in the game and sniping your vezina goalie? Damn

Just too many weapons.

We screwed our selves tonight though. No way we finish in a WC spot IMO.

Jimmy Hayes can go and hang out with the Vesey Family from now on. Jimmy Vesey is Kevin's brother now.

Couple of things. I watched the NBC sports Network feed and Pierre kept saying how AV noticed that Vesey had good jump and that's why he moved him back up. I thought it was simply punishment for Buchnevich taking that Delay of Game penalty that led to Jackets first goal.

Also. In the 21st Century, shouldn't we be guaranteed a sheet of smooth ice?????? It was atrocious out there. Hurts the products so much

That was the first shorthanded goal that CBus has given up this season, IIRC.

And it was to Girardi lol

Buchnevich should have been benched for the Delay of Game penalty. Obviously the reason he got demoted.

On a good sheet of ice, that's probably a great hockey game. Instead, both teams play whack a mole at the bouncing puck.

Nice win. No way BJ's are finishing ahead of us. We have a pretty good team...eh?

Bring on the Pens cause that's who we be playing peeps. That WC and going thru the Atlantic is likely a pipe dream now...oh well. Maybe we can pull off an upset or two....hmmmm

As far as tonight

3 stars are same as has been mentioned.

1.Raanta for sure as he continues to be steller anytime he's been called upon.

2. Vesey looks really good lately. Tonight was the Vesey we saw first 4-5 weeks of season. Looks like he's finally gotten his 2nd wind. Would not be suprised now if he starts to contribute on the stat sheet more often

3. Hayes has looked dangerous every game since he got back from whatever injury was ailing him. He and JT have now turned themselves into untouchable's and are now foundation pieces. Didn't know if I could say that before the year. Now tho, I think we all see Hayes needs to stay here for next decade along with

Vesey as been buzzing the last few games, glad to see one finally go in for him.

Thought this was one of Kreider's worst games of the season. Zucc wasn't good either and the tandem of Staal and Holden were awful.

Give Skjei more minutes please.

Raanta, Hayes and Vesey for the stars.

Glad Vesey got to score but to be honest that was a bad goal to give up. We would have killed Hank if he got scored on like that.

Buch, Ziba and Kreider were noshows.

I have noticed AV has gone away from Zibs in key late game situations. That says a lot because Step and Hayes are not great on faceoffs.

Is it possible we'll see Raanta in the playoffs? I'm wondering what AV is thinking. Not regularly but just a game here and there instead of riding Hank like a rented mule.

It is always possible but if we did it might be too late.

Trust me I've been as big proponent of us finishing as #1 WC and 4th seed and go thru the "easier" Atlantic as anyone here on the board. I was hoping we could continue winning and at same time Jackets keep winning as well.

Houston we have a problem!!

It's pretty obvious now that we are finding our early season type mojo again and are looking like the top 3 team in the entire league...4th tops. Problem is, 2 of those other 3 are the Caps and Pens. And it's pretty obvious as well or at looks very much like it's going to happen, we are going to blow by the BJ's. We are simply better than the Jackets who have come to earth.

So yup...I'm pretty much resigned to the fact we will be dealing with the Penguins once again and hopefully we can pull off the upset. Maybe Gorts gets us Shatty and Hank is playing great. Maybe we can steal a series. Not sure if we can steal two series cause than we'd have to beat Caps. But we are the Caps kryptonite and so one never knows. Still time to see how this will all shake out.

I'm just glad we are winning again consistantly and some of our best and younger players are playing some great hockey.

Great rope-a-dope road win. Frustrated the crap out of them. Raanta was excellently unflappable throughout. Wait for the mistakes and capitalize. Happy to see Vesey get back off the schneid.
