i Really hope come playoff time this is not the Zib we get. No one really noticing right now because we have a "third" line that pretty much scores every game

Only way we see Raanta is if hank is injured or he gets pulled in a game

i can't see that. even if hank got shelled in game one i couldn't see Raanta starting a playoff game.

The ice maker should have been fired on the spot when that would be break by Karlsson came to a grinding, bouncing halt. I especially hate it as a Grabner fan becuase it reeeaallly hurts HIS game in particular (even though he drew three penalties).

But Miller also looked much, much worse than he really was due to the terrible ice.I blame the ice for his fanning on those PP one-timers

Zero chance unless Hank gets injured or pulled.

Vesey, Hayes, and Raanta are my top 3 (no particular order). HM to Stepan, Nash, and Girardi.

That game was really good outside of the huge surge of momentum at the end of the second period for Columbus. Playoff style win, smart defense, just solid all around. PP needs work though because they're playing without any real structure. Our top-9 moving forward should be Vesey-Step-Nash, Kreider-Zib-Zucc, and GHM. Three lines with great chemistry, and our 4th line is no slouch either with Buch and Fast centered by Lindberg or Pirri

If AV goes to raanta in the playoffs it's because we're in deep deep trouble.

I'm asking about Raanta in the p'offs because Hank seems to be getting the starts against non playoff teams. It seems weird.

I'll be honest I'm not great at gauging D play, but I thought Skjei looked good in the half the game that I saw. What did everyone else think?

I noticed because I do not care how deep an offense is for the regular season. I think top end offense is very important come playoff time. Our 3rd line is really our first line in some ways. They always stay together because they produce. AV keeps juggling the other top 7 skaters and right now the wins max that those other top 7 are having some chemistry issues. I think Zib has hurt his linemates in some games even when he has had some assists. The talent is there but he has to soften his hands. Too many pucks bounce off his stick.

What does that even mean? The only reason Raanta started tonight was beacause Hank has been playing for 18 consecutive games.

I think AV plans for Hank to be our playoff goalie. Hank would have to look really bad for AV to change that thinking. I do think AV might have a quicker hook in the playoffs though if Lundy lets in bad goals.

Ottawa fans were pretty spot on with their description of Zib. Just waiting for him to put it all together. He always leaves me wanting more. He's been putting up points all year, but I feel like I barely notice him out there.

McD is clearly our best defense but McD and Holden were both playing better 4-6 weeks ago than they have recently.

How many games in A row have we given up 30 plus shots now.

Were winning..sure.. It it sure feels like smoke and mirrors with the sheer number of chances were giving up and the flukey goals we are scouring

And not to forget, Hank will most definetly start against both WSH and MTRL in a week.

What are you watching?

I don't mind them giving up 30 shots of the majority are from the walls like they have been. We haven't given up many oddman rushes at all or second chances during this streak

Two of our goals were beautiful skill goals

We got one deflection and so did they and another one that was a really bad one on raanta
