Vaclav Meidl

Can anyone tell me what's the scoop on him? Is he in Nashville's plan? Will he make the NHL one day, and if so, what kind of contribution do you think he could bring to your team? Do you see him as an offensive player, or a more defensive one?

Thanks for any info you can share.

I'd also love to hear what are you guys' opinion on Kris Beech. He's got 3 points in 5 games this year I think, and producing well in the AHL. Do you think he'll make it as a regular anytime soon?

I think the Preds would be estatic if Beech turned into something special (we could surely use another good center), but I haven't heard anything about their plans for him as of late.

Insert Meidl instead of Beech and that statement would apply to him as well. I think the Preds would be ecstatic if he turned into a serviceable NHLer.

if Beech doesn't make this team next year I'll be pretty surprised.

Anyway Meidl is what we've lacked on this club since I've been a fan. a physical center. He's a big guy already. 6'6 last I had heard. Next year in Milwaukee it'll be interesting to see how he adjust to the pro game.

There seems like there will be a good deal of roster changes for next season. Anybody care to offer up a guess of who will be in and who will be out?

Your guess is as good as mine. I don't think Beech or Meidl will be anywhere near that roster though.

my best bets on who will be gone will be Johnny (12 friggin' points all year) & Eaton (to make real room for Shea)

I don't think anyone can take a guess at that right now (including Trotz and Poile).

Now that we have acheived the goal of making the playoffs (hopefully), there is a new goal... to actually do something in the playoffs.

Many of our current players will be judged on what they do in the playoffs.

The only player that I think (I hope) has a very little chance of coming back is Greg Johnson. Everybody else will be given a fair chance to strut their stuff for the remainder of the season and playoffs.

What about Jordin Tootoo? Do you see him on the Preds next year? Potential-wise, is he more of a small energy player who can put up points, or is he more of a consistant power forward style player?

How many points can I consistently expect from him in the coming years?

Thanks for any info you can share!
