Defenseman is supposed to always take the pass, but on that play Malkin was standing on top of the goalie already so he had no choice but to play him. Good play all around that you don't often see on a 2-on-1. With his skill and size, I'm surprised he doesn't score/assist more.

Nice moves, but patience is generally impressive under pressure
You aren't very good at breaking down video I see...

The man back never went down on his stomach and remained upright the entire time, except for trying to put his knee down to block the pass after Malkin made his move. The second man in fell down on his stomach because Malkin made him look silly.

Enjoy these times Pittsburgh fans. You get to watch a team that you will tell your kids about, no exaggeration.

I mean he's 2nd in this season in PPG, 2nd among active players in PPG, 14th all time PPG and 6th era adjusted PPG. I'd say he's doing pretty okay

WTF Sbisa hahaha. Malkin can make good players look bad but Sbisa helped him big time on that one.

I hope Malkin can win the Art Ross this year. Had some bad luck with injuries in the last years.

Maybe one day he'll be good enough for the top 100.

Sbisa should have played the body not the puck. Really nice move though. Made us look silly.

Please see my screen name and detect the sarcasm. Just about every poster plus media knows Malkin got snubbed and of course Toews on the list is a giant stretch, but eveyone moves on knowing Malkin is far superior to Toews.

Beautiful play by Malkin. Took advantage of two players who have no idea how to play defense though.

You know that one of them was Chris Tanev, right?

What is Sbisa doing not skating through the stick there/ taking the body/ stopping in front of Malkin so Tanev can go to Kessel.

I mean at some point it's almost like he tried to think of the dumbest thing he could do and 'fanning at a much better stick-handler before falling' won out over making a line-change.

Trouba didn't get embarrassed. He literally played it as well as anyone could've. It's just the 101st greatest player in the history of the game doing what he does best. Look at the first tweet showing frame by frame. Nobody could've done anything more short of tackling Malkin on the ice . . .

Crosby classic classy celebration no jumping on glass or other attention seeking nonsense. Its a fist pump and straght to to his teammates. My fav player of all time.
