Still see a lot of fans wearing his jersey at games and so there is still a respect there for his work on and off the ice. Great avatar btw!
Yeah, Callahan is still one of my favorites and I still find it very weird that he is no longer a Ranger.

The game I was talking about was his rookie season when he scored the first two goals of his career against the Bruins on St. Patty's day. Two of the greasiest goals I've ever seen and that was when I knew we might have had something special on our hands.

That game against the Bruins was a trip though. Going down 3-0, Rangers get booed off the ice, comeback and then after all that Callahan gets hurt in the final minute.

Gotta love Vinny Prospal.

Brad Marchand.

He has loads of talent and can play the game the right way and be respected but he goes that extra mile to win and get players off their game. He would have friends in the league and respect but winning is more important to him. He will hurt you and not feel bad because it makes him that much more effective and annoying.

What a player.

Off the ice, an incredible human. Proud vegan and tireless animal activist, co-owner of a local Edmonton based Kombucha brand, supports local and organic markets, renewable farming and renewable energy. He always has time for absolutely everyone. No one is invisible to him. I see him around town at least once every few months, and no matter how busy he is, he always acts like you are the only person in the world he wants to be talking with at that moment. Always laughing, always smiling, always hugging.
I once invited him out to join me at a volunteer event for a farm animal rescue society just outside the city. He not only came, but he made the entire thing a blast, and worked harder than anyone.

Basically, Georges rocks.
Yup great guy, either him or Dom Moore for this thread for me. Georges even slid me a follow on Twitter

I know precisely none of these guys, but Subban's $10M gift impressed the hell out of me. Say what you will about his persona on the ice (wildly overblown, IMO), that's absolute class.

John Tavares.

The guy is humble af when he could easily be arrogant and stick his nose up to everyone.

Of the players I've met personally, Jay Beagle was the nicest.

As a Canucks fan I'll always admire the Sedins. They donated 1.5 Million to help build a new BC Children's Hospital back in 2010 and them and many of the Canucks regularly visit the children there.

Crosby- perfect example of a true pro

Subban- he is a character and i get it might be annoying to be around him all the time but he does alot of good things like the donation and spending time with the hospital in Montreal etc

Dom Moore- Smart guy, went to Harvard, been thru alot with his wife and you could really see how hard it was for him and how much he loved her, just really sad. Always has a smile on his face etc. Really admire Dom Moore!

Brent Burns- Loves animals and just seems like a great and very fun guy to be around! He just has fun on the ice which is cool to see. Just skates around and has fun and is one of the best in the world while beeing so relaxed. Looks effortless! And he has a great beard!

Ex NHL'ers:
Lidstrom
Selanne

Lmao all of those guys are so radically different. Not saying they're bad guys, but literally each one of them is nothing like the other.
