I wish he'd change his current equipment a little. I don't like the big NYR logo on the right side of the mask (seems so generic) and I guess I just got used to Richter's equipment for so long that no other goalies equipment has seemed as nice.

I actually like Lundqvist's helmet, simple, but a solid design. I'd prefer it if he'd do something with that Rangers logo, but it's a great take on Lady Liberty on the other side. I also like that it's not symmetrical.

according to daveart.com, who did all his masks back in sweden, henke like large and simple designs, hence, the liberty and the nyr logo on each side... looks good to me...

go check his old masks at http://www.daveart.com/v2/index.php?page_id=84

better than an apple sticker on the 4head

Like i said, I think Richter just skewed my view. The lady liberty in the middle, the logo on the chin, everything just seemed to fit in the perfect spot on that helmet.

Richter's mask is an all-time great one, so of course it skewers your view when comparing it to other Rangers goalies. But Lundqvist's is good, obviously not a great as Richter's but it is still a very good mask, simple, but well done.

Word, it's hard to top Richter's, prolly going to be the best Rangers one of all time... what was also good was it fit in perfectly for international competition as well since it was Liberty themed and red white and blue.

Masks which are good are those with big, bold simple designs so they can be discerned from afar... which is why I liked Richter's. Vanbiesbrouck's Panthers one, Dafoe's Bruins one (Bear) and I beleive Kelly Hrudey's Sharks one were like this also.

I am not a huge fand of Lundqvists as it seems to played out as it is also Liberty and has the Rangers logo on the other side. Maybe someone can do some "Ranger" themed helmet?

I just replied to this, it's his Olympic mask that he wears during practice with Rangers.

Only in Sweden, only in Sweden things like this occur, hopefully he will get a return ticket to NYC after the Olympics, but with amateurs in charge anything can happen

.. perharps he can hitchhike home with Jagr & co

Sweden is going home right after the quarterfinals, while Jagr is staying til the final is done.

His best buddy on the team seems to be Kasparaitis, perhaps he can point him in the right direction;O)

i would bet money (well maybe not the smartest thing to do in light of recent events) that the Rangers Organization charters a flight since they prolly have 15 or so people going. 10 plays, J.D., ramsay, etc.
